430-516 uF MFD 250 VAC 50/60 Hz Round Motor Start Capacitor CD60 Single Phase Capacitors for AC Motors Starting or Pool Pump or Well Pump

I installed this starting capacitor in the motor starter box to replace one that had been operating for 15+ years. Worked great, just as it should. The old one I removed had a crystalized seepage coming out the bottom.

I had an AC unit that would only buzz when kicked on. I spun it by hand and it continued to run. The main capacitor was no good. The brown capacitor was actually ok, however, it was at the 175uF without the resistor (desoldered). I opted to replace it with this one and soldered the original 15k ohm resistor to it. Unit came back to life after replacing both capacitors. Cheap DIY fix that most people can do themselves and save money in the process. The size was much smaller than the original but the uF rating and voltage was the same.

Fits my PRFB5520VP-WK Pro Air, Air compressor! Finally found the exact size capacitor 136-163 uf (MFD) for the 20 year old Smith Motor. Old one was Mallory 625622-1 capacitor with three prongs, where the neutral was tied to the blue wire coming from the motor and on the negative prong as well. I had to de-solder my 15k resistor and put on the new capacitor. I looked everywhere for this because it’s so small, it’s the only one the actually fits the space inside the compressor motor housing. Thank you Amazon and seller for putting the dimensions on the picture. I wouldn’t have purchased otherwise!

Functions per specs. Smaller than original. It may dry out quicker than larger original. Time will tell.
