It's sturdy and sits neatly in the kitchen.I wanted to use this for water and food for my dog, however he is a giant, and the bowls supplied (and the slots for the bowls) are quite small for a dog his size. Result was a lake of water every time he had a drink. To solve this, I have a much larger bowl resting on the top of the stand for his water, and give him his food in the smaller bowl recessed into the stand.It's a really well-made item, and should serve him well for years.
