Powerful Pump That Moves Water Quickly
I’m very impressed with the Aquastrong 1 HP Sump Pump. It has strong pumping power and moves a large amount of water quickly, making it useful for draining pools, ponds, flooded areas, basements, and other water removal needs. The pump feels well-built and durable, and the 10-foot power cord provides good flexibility when setting it up. It is easy to use, portable, and works efficiently for both routine water maintenance and emergency situations. I especially like that it can handle high-volume water removal without taking a long time. The only downside is that the pump can be a little bulky, and you need to make sure you have the correct hose connection for your setup. However, once connected properly, it performs very well. Overall, this is a powerful and reliable utility pump that gets the job done. It’s a great tool to have for pool maintenance, gardening, and unexpected water removal needs.

Powerful, Fast, and Great to Have Around the House
Powerful, Fast, and Great to Have Around the House This 1 HP utility pump is one of those tools you may not need often, but when you do, you'll be glad you have it. It moves a surprising amount of water in a short amount of time and is perfect for draining pools, hot tubs, flooded areas, or other water removal projects. Setup was quick with the included adapters, and the pump started working as soon as it was plugged in. It feels well-built despite being lightweight, and the thermoplastic housing should hold up well to occasional outdoor use. I also like that it can pump water down to a very low level, leaving much less cleanup afterward. The 10-foot power cord provides reasonable flexibility, and the built-in thermal overload protection offers some extra peace of mind during longer jobs. A couple of things to keep in mind: this is a manual utility pump, so it won't turn on and off automatically like a traditional sump pump with a float switch. You'll also need to purchase an appropriate discharge hose if you don't already have one. Bottom Line: If you're looking for an affordable, high-flow utility pump for occasional water removal, this is an excellent choice. It's powerful, easy to use, and offers outstanding performance for the price. Definitely a tool I'm happy to have in the garage.

Works Great!
Replaced an outdoor "waterfall" CalPump pump that is priced at about $600. I was apprehensive about this $70 pump... but thought I'd give it a try. It is great! Worked as advertised. It looks nice - not that it matters. It is quiet! Much quieter than the $600 pump it replaced. It is powerful, seems like a 1HP. Will see about longevity, but at this price, I think it will be fine.

Amazing!!!
Wow!!! Amazing pool pump. I have had numerous other pumps none come even close to how amazing this is!!! We had to drain our large above ground pool due to uninvited critters swimming in it. This pump is so easy to use. It is high powered and efficient. It continued to drain at a constant full hose rate even with the bottom of the pool was full of the most disgusting sludge. I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t have to clean the pump base or the hose in order for it to continue working during the process. It was well worth the money. Wish I had found this years ago.

The output of this pump was equivalent to a passive siphon
This product came to me overnight. I literally ordered it around 9 PM and it was here when I got up at 7 AM. Good job Amazon. So here are the facts. I unpackaged the pump. There was no damage to the packaging nor to the pump. I assembled the fittings using the Teflon tape which was included in the box to attach the outlet fitting as well as the 5/8 inch Garden hose. Mine is the one horsepower pump. The maximum flow rate represented im the amazon buy box was 4500 gallons per hour. The instruction manual received with the pump affirms 4500 gallons per hour with a maximum 5 feet of head and a discharge NPT of 1 1/2 inches. Now obviously the garden hose is a smaller diameter than one and a half inches The one I’m using is 5/8 of an inch internal diameter. Given that, I expected a markedly decreased flow rate (5.8 times less). However, what I ended up getting was essentially a siphon flow rate. I tested the hose flow rate of this hose attached to the Spigot on the outside of my house and I got almost 900 gallons per hour flow. With the pump attached and running, zero head, and the same hose it took three minutes and 16 seconds to fill a 5 gallon bucket with water. That’s a flow rate of 1.54 gallons per minute or 92.3 gallons per hour. A passive siphon through this size hose would have an estimated flow rate of about 92 gallons per hour. So I’m getting 92 gallons per hour when, given the hose diameter I should have been able to achieve at least 300 gph. when my next question the advertiser of this pump claims 4500 gallons per hour at 5 feet with a discharge NPT 1 1/2 inches based on that and assuming that a pump that doesn’t increase flow beyond what one expects from a passive siphon is no pump at all. I’ve not tested a cross-section of this product. I received one I tested one. Is this an outlier or is this what’s normal for the product? I’m going to assume the latter. It is my opinion this product is not fit for purpose and shouldn’t even be sold or offered for sale. Incidentally, I tried to reach out to the company directly but a phone number was not provided. I don’t have time to engage in email correspondence with the company and therefore didn’t even make the attempt. If you decide to purchase anyway, you should markedly lower your expectations. Good luck.

Decent Pump
I mean, it’s a 1HP sump pump. It doesn’t move water at the fastest rate, but it did pump out water that had a lot of clay soil loose in the areas where I was pumping. Overall, I’m happy with it, but just wish it moved the water a little quicker. Super easy to operate. Just plug it in and put it in the water.

Awesome little pump
Really easy to use. Attach a hose, plug it in and plop into the pool. It drains the pool down to milli-meters. The water flow was good. It had to work under load because I connected a 100ft garden hose and a sprinkler head to the pump. It worked great! The lawn was thankful for the water.

Decent product
Excellent pump, very durable, be careful with the connection for the hose. It's not very solid. Very easy to cross thread.
