Superboy (Jonathan Kent) is excited to have a night out on patrol with Robin (Damian Wayne), at least until he learns that Robin thinks his job is to teach Superboy how to fight crime. But an emergency call from the Teen Titans leads to an encounter with a group of forgotten villains... one of whom bends time itself to make Robin too old to lead a team called the Teen Titans ! And the battle's aftermath leads Robin and Superboy to another dimension, where they must help the last survivors of a decimated world defeat a planet-sized menace! All this, plus the long-awaited unveiling of the Super Sons' secret headquarters, unfolds in the newest collection showcasing DC's next-generation super-team! Acclaimed writer Peter J. Tomasi ( Superman ) is joined by artists Jorge Jimenez ( Earth 2: Society, Amazing X-Men ), Carmine Di Giandomenico ( The Flash ), Jose Luis ( Supergirl ) and more in Super Sons Vol. 2: Planet of the Capes , collecting issues #6-10 of the popular series. Review: Lighthearted fun read. - I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this series. This continues to be a decent storyline, with great one-liners, amazing dialogue and welcome craziness. While I don't want to give away to much away, I will say this is the series I have enjoyed the most since Rebirth (and I like pretty much all of the Rebirth). It is definitely NOT the BEST comic, but is by far the MOST FUN. If you enjoy your heros, not being serious once in a while: Superman teasing Batman about arming kids while Batman has a few rebutes of his own, Batman and Robin having their unique version of parent-child debates, Alfred and Lois "teaming up" to scold the kids for sneaking out past curfew, conversations and situations that will set you laughing, and remembering all the reasons you ENJOYED comics. There are few to other of storylines while have hair-raising storylines, dark twists, and angst. I do like those and read them a plenty. Yet, when you need to laugh, to remember that life it good, that there are good times full of hope, and family, and joy. Read this and LAUGH, and reread and reread. You will be glad you did. To parents: This would make a comic can be enjoyed be comics by kids and adults alike. While some of the parenting jokes and references may go over their heads there is much to enjoy. I would highly recommend for nerd parents (or even non-parents) with nerd children, as a great comic to bond with your youngster. Review: Such a Fun Series - Super Sons is quickly becoming one of my favorite comics. Jimenez's art is gorgeous and it is really one of my favorite aspects of the story. I love all the rich details and the way the characters personalities shine through their facial expressions and body language. I just can not get enough of this art. And the characters. Tomasi writes Damian and Jon so well! They are so much fun together, the way their personalities build and clash against one another. They never cease to put a smile on my face. Their interactions really are the highlight for me. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | #2,177,582 in Books ( See Top 100 in Books ) #2,816 in Superhero Comics & Graphic Novels #4,236 in DC Comics & Graphic Novels | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 423 Reviews | ## Images ![Super Sons Vol. 2: Planet of the Capes (Rebirth) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91aXEPN2yzL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lighthearted fun read. *by E***S on June 20, 2018* I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this series. I love their chemistry and personalities. It’s an incredible dynamic, and fun to read their adventures. DC Rebirth is by far some of the greatest writing I’ve seen from DC. Never thought I’d be reading Superman or any of their comics besides Batman. It definitely tops the current continuity from other publishers. I think kids would like it also. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/59335003-super-sons-vol-2-planet-of-the-capes-rebirth](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/59335003-super-sons-vol-2-planet-of-the-capes-rebirth) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-03*
