TDI Advanced Nitrox Scuba Diving Manual

Easy to use and charts and graphs are clear and concise. The only downside to it, is that they need to run their manuals past a spell and grammar check. Sometimes things get a little garbled.

Books followed along with online class. Made a much better educational experience.

Upon picking up this book, I had a mission to understand the difference between BASIC NITROX and the need for ADVANCED NITROX. Instead, I found this book repetitive for the first five chapters. So, my question to the authors --- "where is the beef?"

The Advanced Nitrox course is the first baby steps that a diver takes in the world of technical diving. The difference between "advanced" nitrox and conventional nitrox is that advanced nitrox refers to using blends of greater than 40% oxygen for accelerated decompression.The TDI Advanced Nitrox manual is a perfectly decent book, but written in fairly simplistic fashion. Realistically the book is probably pitched at too low a level. Basic concepts relating to Equivalent Air Depth and Oxygen Toxicity should be familiar to anyone undertaking this course, but the book repeats the material many times without injecting much new thought.
