Exclusive Standing Electric Outdoor LED Lighted Stone Finish Urn Fountain

Beautiful in my garden- looks like stone- great light- I might change the pump out later, would like a little more babbling sound- but very happy with my purchase

Very pretty fountain, but the motor broke the very first day of using it.

This is a very pretty fountain. It makes a lovely sound, and I find myself liking the LED (which I originally thought "tacky") more and more every day. There are some issues that need to be understood, however. First, if you are a purist, this is not made from a natural material such as porcelain or stone or metal. For devotees of Feng Shui (of which I am not) I understand that may be a problem. It appears to be some sort of cast or molded resin. But, it looks very nice in use, especially with water flowing over it, but it will never be mistaken for a natural material. Water conditioning in a fountain is always important and deserves attention -- AND it is much easier to start with good practices than it is to cure a problem. The water in this system MUST BE KEPT CLEAN. Small chlorine tablets work, but the odor is objectionable. Colloidal Silver is very effective, but is expensive and turns the water slightly brown. The best product I have found is a small amount of Clearwater Blue Spa Bactericide (hot tub/spa supplies). A very small amount (5ml to 7.5ml) keeps it clean, gunk-free, and the very light blue tint (barely visible - if it looks like toilet-bowl blue, you used way too much) is not objectionable. I have been told that dumping a roll of pennies into the base will accomplish the same, but have not tried it myself - if it works though, 50 cents is a lot cheaper than any of the chemicals mentioned previously.Now, the reason this very nice unit lost a star. As several people have mentioned, even if you keep system and tubes and feeds clear - there is one weak point and it is the pump that comes with this unit. Ours continued to operate properly because of care we took to keep clean (have a hot tub - I'm used to it) however, the transformer on this unit got so hot you could barely grab it long enough to unplug it. I'm not an electrician, but I feel generating that much heat at a wall plug into an AC/DC transformer is never a good thing. Bought a small submersible variable-flow pump, without a wall-wart style transformer, and solved that problem. Works far better, lots of power to help keep clean and no heat build-up at outlet. New pump didn't have the ability (or wiring) to power the LED light -- working on that.
