Creality Official Upgrade K1 SE/K1C Extruder, 50N Strong Extrusion Force & Dual Gear Design Provide Smooth and Precise Feeding，OEM Replacement Parts

My printer broke one day, and I found this part to replace it. I wanted to wait to write this review to make sure that this part still works well, and I can confidently say that, as I am writing this, my printer is still going strong with this extruder. I found that this is the better model of extruder that Creality upgraded to, as I bought my Creality K1 at release with the subpar parts. I was pleasantly satisfied when this new extruder worked way better than the old one ever did. It was 100% compatible with my Creality K1 and solved all of my previous print quality issues by steadily extruding all the filaments that I put through it. Installing the part was very easy because Creality, being the amazing company that they are, gave such a good installation manual that it felt like I was putting together Legos. The fitment was perfect, and the upgraded metal gears gripped the filament such that it never seemed to slip, making my prints come out wonderfully. Since buying and putting on this new extruder, I have done hundreds of prints with ZERO issues! This was 1 billion percent worth the upgrade and I would recomend this to anyone with prior K1 print issues.

Last extruder I accidentally damaged form a jam, but so far smooth sailing with the new extruder. Installation went smoothly, and everything fit perfectly

My initial release K1 had all of the typical issues with the hotend and extruder that you could find everywhere online. I think the primary detractor to this extruder design is the PTFE tube that comes out of the bottom of it and butts up to the hotend. I think more of the extrusion issues are related to the PTFE tube not being fully aligned to the hotend. I paired this new style extruder with the Unicorn hotend found on the K1C and I couldn't be happier. This allowed me to get rid of that PTFE tube from the bottom of extruder and run the hotend directly into it. This pairing immediately solved my under extrusion issues and my K1 now prints beautifully.

The new extruder seems to have a narrower bottom opening so the original blue PTFE tube no longer fits inside and I had to trim it with a utility knife. With it trimmed down, it is much more difficult to remove if you need to replace it. I'm not sure if that's better or not. The top opening has a bowden tube connector where you have to push down to eject the bowden tube. The blue clip that prevents the connector from being pushed doesn't clip right but it didn't on the old extruder either. In hind site, I think the old one was the same design but I was able to remove the whole silver connector by pulling so did that to change filament. Since this one is mounted firmly, I had to learn the right way to eject a bowden tube.

Annoyed the gear broke on the original, but the replacement was inexpensive and an easy replacement.

I purchased this to replace a failed extruder on my K1C. It didn't even last a month before it broke (see image). I do not recommend getting this item.

Tengo un modelo anterior de K1C el cual actualicé con el nuevo hotend y PCB, el motor del extrusor lo conservé ya que funciona bien. Compre este componente y al montarlo corrigio todos los problemas de rayas en la primera capa. Se comporta excelente y lo recomiendo 100%.

Me funcionó perfecto en mi Creality K1C, yo tenía problemas con mi anterior extrusor porque lo dañé y empezó a tener atascos. Con este nuevo extrusor mi impresora volvió a funcionar como nueva.

Official source of parts and the availability is what is important when you have a 3d printer. The original had issues with feeding and often leading to print issues and clogs. This upgraded design has proven to be quite reliable and has a larger pulling force than the previous model. There are a lot of quirks with the k1max and k1 series but for a work horse printer it's a must to have replacement parts. I'm glad Creality is making strides to keep the line going with upgrades and replacements.
