RHD 0.5L Small Portable Electric Kettle, 600W Stainless Steel Travel Kettle

I've only just received this, so I'll have to amend my review if it craps out on me, but as of now, it's working great. I bought it for the size and the price. I needed something small enough to fit in a bread box and this is perfect. It boils a full kettle in about 3 minutes 30 seconds, which is not as fast as my full size kettle, but good enough for me. Auto shut-off works fine. I love that it's metal inside, including the inside of the lid, to cut down on micro plastics in my tea. Also, the retractable cord is a huge bonus as this will need to be stored after every use. It's nothing fancy, but it's cheap, and as long as it keeps working and doesn't rust, it's perfect for what I need.

I am a person who reads reviews meticulously before buying online. I had hesitations about this one, but I’m glad I took the chance on it! This little kettle is perfect for my needs. When I read the reviews talking about how short the plug was, I was a little worried but I knew it wouldn’t affect my specific situation, so I bought it (the price point is great). When I got the kettle, it was well-packaged and came with a manual and plenty of warning and instruction labels. I also love the color! My favorite part is that, upon inspection, I realized that the cord is actually retractable into the base of the kettle! So if you hesitate like I did on that point, don’t worry about it. The cord is about 24” long when fully extended and winds back up into the base for easy storage (this has become one of my favorite features!) It fits right in a drawer when not in use, very nice for small spaces like mine! Apart from that, this little thing is great, makes hot water in just a few minutes. It holds just enough for one cup of tea or coffee so if you’re looking for something more, this little guy is not for you. When you take it off of the base after heating, the outside and bottom of the kettle is warm, but not hot — no need for potholders! It pours well, without leaking, except for a bit of steam coming out from the top at times (which it has a warning label for). It can be a tad noisy at times as it heats, but it doesn’t bother me in my situation. I could see it being a distraction or nuisance in a quiet office setting or something like that, though. If you’re looking for a safe, cheap, compact kettle for a single cup of boiling water, this is for you! I’ve had this for 4 months now, using it daily (multiple times per day) and it has stood the test, it works wonderfully and I am very satisfied with it for the price. Definitely fits all my needs!

I’m looking for a one-person electric kettle for my daughter to use in college. This kettle meets the expectation. It is very sturdy, compact and simply modern. The color is soothing and cute (it has a MATTE finish). It boils water quick enough and quietly. Pouring and refilling is easy and quick due to the push button lid. I’m thinking of getting the smallest version of this brand 0.5 L for my desk at work as well. Definitely a keeper. Update: the only reason that I ordered and decided to keep the 0.5L is that it fits perfectly on my small desk at work. The 0.5L boils water not any faster than the 0.8L but it is still quiet and very cute. The color has a GLOSSY finish. The very down side of this kettle is that its cord is way TOO short. I had to plug it in an extension cord and then plug the extension cord to the outlet under my desk. I plugged it in directly to an outlet in my kitchen, just for testing, the cord is too short, the whole unit is so close to the outlet making me feel nervous handling the boiling and sputtering water. Not sure why manufacture made the cord so short to begin with. The cord starting from the heating base including the plug is 10" L total!? If you have an outlet that is high up away from your countertop surface, there is no way that the cord will reach that outlet while the heating base still stays flat on the countertop. That is the dangerous part of accidentally knocking the whole kettle over with boiling hot water. Definitely have to keep an eye on it when in use, especially around small children in the house hold. An extensions cord is a must have to better use with the 0.5L kettle for sure. I only gave 4 star for the 0.5L kettle.

I have owned many Induction kettles and use mine daily for coffee pour overs and for hot water to speedcook times. I travel frequently and wanted something good quality not plastic.I went through reviews avoiding products with only good "Vine" reviews and came up with either a USB powered travel "thermos" or this little kettle I decided on this and am happy with it so far. Its a slow to average induction boil, if you are used to stovetop, the boil time will seem fast. The handle button is not to flip up the lid it's for the on off so definitely mind the steam lifting the lid. A blue light indicates when the kettle is on. The cord manually winds into the base which it nice for packing The short cord length is a negative I can't find the actual cord length in the manual or on the box itself. I wanted to know when I should stop pulling on it because I need more length. I measured approximately 15 inches of cord length until I hit resistance. There was a warning sticker which I removed because I didn't like the way it looked. If I could read the micro print it probably said not to overfill or submerge. The Interior pour spout and lid where water or steam with come in contact with is all quality looking stainless steel. it's not a 5 star to me due to short cord length ,cheapish feeling base and no button to open hot lid. The cord itself is good quality and the ability to wind it inside is a bonus however the winding process in the cheapish feeling base is not smooth. The outer surface is plastic, I would have preferred all metal but this feels solid. For travel it is acceptable to me. If this thing breaks in less than a year or two I will definitely update. I have shown it next to a can of soda for size reference. They also sell a version that is a little bigger. Both sizes are only sold in the minty green color at least on Amazon. I happen to like green. There are many options for small boilers on other platforms but for the Amazon buying protections at the current price in the $20 range for what you get makes this kettle a good value and obvious choice for travel or persons with limited space.

OMG what a life saver for me I hate hotel coffee makers so I bring my Folgers singles and this sweet little pot heats the water instantly!!

Perfect for what I needed it for. Easier to use than trying to get hot water out of a coffee maker in a hotel which is what I used it for. It was for tea and I love it. Easy travel, non breakable and reliable. It pours easily and is easy to use.

This is a cute small kettle. I originally bought to take to work, but ended up keeping at home and replaced an old kettle I have had for years. It worked great, but a bit small. But it stopped working after 10 months. And it didn’t really get a lot of use until about the last 6 months. Can’t believe it already stopped working.

So cute, love the color, it ironically matches with some other kitchen items I already had. The small design is perfect to store away when not needed and just right to make 2 cups of hot water. I bought this for my mom when my parents visit as I'm a coffee drinker, but my mom is a tea drinker. This little kettle is perfect for when only small amounts of hot water are needed occasionally.

Very good product. Portable and easy to carry anywhere.Water gets hot very quickly. I would definitely recommend this product.
