Easy adding it to Hunter Fan; Hard to check level
The oil packaging indicated this product was the correct oil for Hunter fans. The instructions on how to add the oil and check the level were on the back side of the packaging. My Hunter fans were old (from the 1970s and 1980s) and they simply had a "fill hole" in the stem above the motor. The oil was easy to add to that hole. But checking to see if the level was right required me to take one blade off, push the blade housing up just a tad, and stick the bent pipe cleaner in a small crevice. In the end, my technique worked fine (the right amount of oil was added to each fan), but it was a tedious job.

It worked!
This worked as advertised. I oiled my noisy squeaky ceiling fan and it was significantly quieter than before. I will use it again!

Precision oil for vintage equipment
The oil is a must have for mechanisms like turntables , model trains and tape machines. The Hunter ceiling fan oil is the only type that I use for the classic vintage Hunter original fan motors! Another must, others won’t be the same as specified by Hunter.

Perfect! Our fan is now ready to run another 35 years.
Exactly what we needed! Great price. Our Hunter Original fan was having problems: slow at high and medium speeds, fan blades stopped when set at slow speed, but motor kept running. We knew we needed oil and found this on Amazon, complete with pipe cleaner for measuring oil level (the oil in our fan was was non-existent because we hadn't checked it in years, uh-oh). We ended up needing to use almost the whole tube for our situation. When done, the cap screws on, so if we hadn't needed all of it, the tube would have been sealed easily for storage and later use. After refilling the oil reservoir, we turned the fan on high for about 10 minutes to make sure oil was distributed properly. Tested all speeds - everything worked fine and our Hunter Original Fan is now up to snuff and ready to go another 35 years!BTW we live in a hot/humid State and the fan runs practically 24/7 for 10-11 months of the year.

a bit pricy, but fan operated like new.
You have to cut the tip off quite a bit to get the oil to flow, but the fan worked much better with fresh oil. The speed was increased and it made less noise. Only downside was that I ordered 3 containers of oil and one was leaking in the package when I received it. Rather than waste it by letting is continue leaking by shipping it back, I just used what remained in the tube. Amazon shipped 3 tubes of oil in an envelope, it really needed to be boxed to travel safely.

Simple product to maintain a Classic for a lifetime !
Glad to find this Hunter brand original oil for a fair price here on Amazon for my Hunter Classic fan! We had recently moved and made sure to take our amazing, US-made (at time we bought it 15+ years ago), cast iron Hunter Classic with us - but it needed an oil refill due to time and spillage/tipping during the move. I could not this find anywhere around town (even at supposed "Hunter Dealers"). But luckily Amazon (DelMar) to the rescue. It shipped quickly and efficiently in a padded envelope, and included the white pipe cleaner for testing the level ... you just bend it about 1/2" at the end and sneak it up over/into the bottom cup/reservoir and the oil will stain the tip when it's up to level. Mine took the entire tube, but I like that the fact the tube has a twist cap so if you don't use it all you can store it. You have to feel good about being able to get a simple thing like this oil to maintain a solid product that was actually designed and built to perform great AND last a lifetime. But I'm preaching to the choir here based on the surprising number of folks who have already left comments about this little tube of Hunter Original oil !
