After doing plenty of research on the variety of dynamic xlr microphones, I kept coming back to the Maono PD200X. Not only is the price point very competitive, but it has the option for USB, and XLR. My first few months of using this mic was through USB, and was told over and over by other gamers I have met that my voice was coming through so clear, and they would ask how that was so. Most people expected me to say it was a $400 mic, but when I told them it was not even 1/6th the price they couldn’t believe me. The mic and app were so easy to setup right out of the box, and it comes with a boom arm that clamps to your desk to free up space. As a new streamer, every inch of desk space matters so this was a plus for me. Since, I have swapped from USB to XLR as my new setup required it for my dual pc setup. And to add, the mic has some rgb, which lets be honest, is always a plus if your on camera. It has a convenient knob that’s easy to access for adjusting your volume and mute with a single press, and it turns red when your muted, so no second guessing, and green when your mic is active. I don’t usually leave reviews for products but I’ve had this mic for over a year now with daily use and have yet to encounter any issues, and still get compliments on the sound quality from both gamers, streamers, and viewers. If your looking to ditch the headset mic, and get a real mic that competes with the high end, but it priced on the lower end side, this is the mic for you.

These mics perform very well! We purchased four of them - to produce a podcast / round-table discussion. The audio was excellent - the tone of the recorded vocals was accurate, clear and had a nice bottom end. PLUS - they look cool with the colorful LED lighting. And these things have USB A and C adapters AND XLR connectors. Mics - Boom stand and cables -- VERY NICELY DONE....

I purchased this mic 16 months ago to improve my audio quality while streaming. I started out using it with a USB function straight to the computer. The mic has great gain, and reverb control with the knob directly on the microphone where you can also mute it, simple function and great a microphone. We then upgraded and purchased the Maono Monocaster G1 mixer and use the XLR connection on the back of the microphone. It's very clear and crisp set properly using either USB or XLR. The sound audio is studio quality. When I make clips or go back and watch my videos on demand it's very clear and distinct. The other thing that sets this microphone and company apart is their customer service. The shock mount broke last week, I emailed the customer service department to see if there was anything they could do, they help me very quickly and are shipping me a new shock mount without 10,000 questions of how and why they just responded. Hey, we got you! I gave it five star. Would recommend to anybody that does any kind of podcasting streaming or video making, editing, vlogging etc. The boom arm it comes with is sturdy and I have not had any issues with it. Overall a fantastic product. Great price range. Great customer service.

This was the best microphone on a budget I could find! Super easy to use right out the box, great for beginners or just anyone looking to level up their audio quality. I was encountering some problems with it but was able to resolve them with the after-sales support over a year later after purchase, they answer you quickly and are able to help you with whatever might be going on.

I bought this microphone in Oct 2024 and for all that time it didn't sound quite right. It kept sounding a little muffled and had a pesky crackling sound. I lived with it for a year before troubleshooting the quality. I tried different XLR cables, different mixer, USB cables, a new PC, even tried a different brand microphone. It wasn't until last week that I read somewhere to download the Maono software, click "update firmware" in the top right of the window, and that 100% fixed everything. The microphone sounds crystal clear now, amazing. It's a five-star microphone, no doubt, just frustrating that updating the firmware wasn't recommended immediately after opening.

Works great. Quality is good, paired up with a Maono Caster for XLR usage makes it better. XLR is optional. Will work of just the USB C it comes with.

Overall, it has a nice build and sound quality. It even sounds good using the included USB cable, and not just when it's hooked up with an XLR. I have a bit of a deeper voice and needed to tweak the EQ a little to pick up the lower tones in my voice but that didn't take much time. I like that it has both gain control and headphone volume control right on the mic. Overall I'd say it's a good mid quality microphone for a great price compared to the quality. I'm able to use it in my home studio for good quality voice over work. Since it does sound good with just the USB, it can be taken with you fairly easily without needing a big case or anything.

Really solid mic for the price boom arm is really good and mic quality overall is great, rgb and the app is the cherry on top
