Organic Probiotics for Dogs & Cats with Prebiotics, 60 Scoops

My 12yo kitty suddenly came down with diarrhea. I’ve had many cats in my life, but I’ve never had one do this. After a few days we realized something might be really serious, so we go to the vet. $375 later and a lot of blood a fecal tests, the only thing they found was our $375. We went home with probiotic capsules to sprinkle on his food (which he wouldn’t eat), vitamin B tablets and a tube of some gross crap to squirt in his mouth; cat went through hell. Seven days later we’re back at the vet. We were prescribed another tube of that crap and an and an offer of an ultra sound for $755. Another 7 days gone, the cat isn’t eating much, he’s dropped weight, and now I’m thinking we’re facing an ultrasound and a really hard decision. A few days later this cat was throwing up anything he tried to eat. Okay, another $755 it is. You now what they find? Our wallet and that’s all, nothing else. We were facing spending the summer watching our kitty tick down slowly while we force fed him pills, etc. I began searching the internet through hundreds of products. This one caught my eye when I saw the 4 1/2 star reviews, then started reading them. The repeated claims that the cat wouldn’t taste it was the key. I ordered it and received it the next day (thanks to Amazon) and fed it to him the next day with his delectable; he loved it. He started nibbling his food the next day, and little by little, he ate more. A miraculous 4 days later he was racing around the house like nothing ever happened. It’s been a little over 2 weeks and he’s fine. He’s happy, we’re happy, and we’re pretty sure he’ll be with us a while longer. It’s worth a try before they suck every penny you have to try this first. This stuff just saved my cat.

If you don’t know what megacolon is, and your cat is super constipated, it’s an often fatal condition that can usually only be cured with surgery if you are not given other alternatives like this. From PetMD: “Megacolon in cats can cause devastating health consequences as the colon fills with old, hardened feces, and the colon is not strong enough to pass the “cemented stool.” It’s a HORRIBLE condition and extremely painful as a cat is trying to poop hard fecal matter. It also caused our cat senior Chloe to have very oily looking fur which I’d never seen before but is supposedly common with sick cats. We took Chloe to the vet who showed us a disturbing x-Ray showing fecal matter packed in Chloe’s colon that was half as long as her entire body! He then recommend that he keep her overnight and give her an enema, which of course we agreed to. The enema alone almost killed her. She was lethargic for two weeks afterwards and, worst of all, the vet charges were over $400, but the procedure did nothing to help with her constipation! We did two things ON OUR OWN that made the issue disappear, and they will both be required on an ongoing basis for as long as she’s alive. 1) We had to do our own research and WE had to ask the same vet to prescribe the ONLY kind of food that a constipated cat should eat - Royal Canin Gastrointestinal DRY cat food. It’s expensive but an 8.8 lb bag lasts a pretty long time with one cat. We give one scoop (3/4 cup) per day along with a tiny bit of wet food in the morning because she’s used to it, but more importantly because it hides the daily probiotics that I need to get into her. But the bulk of her diet is DRY. I would never recommend a strictly dry cat food diet, but this gastrointestinal food is all a cat really needs. It’s that good. 2) We started using this FERA probiotic powder after trying several other products that either she would not eat or just didn’t work. I wish we started with this one! It’s super fine flavorless powder that I put in a tiny bit of wet cat food each morning. (She eats that first and THEN I give her more.) It comes with a little plastic scoop. I read in one place to give a whole scoop of powder but in another place to give a half scoop, so I started with a half scoop, and it worked so well that I never advanced to the full scoop. The probiotics didn’t work right at first, but I was persistent, and discovered that the longer I used it, the bigger her poops got. It’s been a good 2.5 months now. Chloe is much more energetic, and her poops are, well, massive. Lol. And her fur is back to normal! She’s healed, and I’m 100% certain that she was on her deathbed before we started administering this. I will never stop buying these probiotics as we are extremely grateful and relieved that we didn’t lose our Chloe. I hope this helps someone out there! And FYI, I’m very skeptical of reviews because I never know what’s legit or not, but I’m a normal mom/grandma that is retired and living in the Sierra foothills. I rely on Amazon for almost everything short of food, and I’ve made a few regretful purchases along the way. This is not one of them!

I use this for my cats and my dogs. The cats don't seem to notice whether it is there or not, but the dogs love it! The "dosage" is relatively small when compared to the amount you get, so this should last a long time (going on 2 months and only half used). I was worried about g.i. side effects, because my dogs are sensitive to food changes (Frenchies...iykyk), but we have had no issues at all in either the cats or dogs. Between this and salmon oil, our pups' skin concerns have all but dissapeared and we haven't had a bacterial or yeast infection since we started adding this! Dosing is simple.

I am giving this 4 stars because, while I'm almost 100% sure it's working, there is always room for "coincidence". I have been giving this product to my cat since 2021 when I first noticed issues with her stool (mainly too hard - small pieces). She's 17 1/2 now and, for the most part, her stool has been regular (formed logs, but not too firm). I have never given her a full dose at once (1/2 scoop). I mix into her wet food a little less than 1/8 of a teaspoon each time I feed her (she gets about 4 - 5 small meals throughout the day - she's the scarf and barf type). Too much seems to cause soft stool. She either doesn't notice it's in the food or she likes the taste. The powder itself has no smell - to a human. I do have to store the jar in a plastic bag, as the humidity causes it to start to look grainy.

This is an updated review. Its been almost 30 days. I have noticed my dogs skin has improved alot, there's a major decrease in itching and chewing paws. Less acid reflux and they're paws have almost completely lost that yeast smell of corn chips. All of my dogs love it and I love it. It works! Be patient. However I must say that this product has improved the quality of my dogs life and mine also. I wish I found this product sooner. Do yourself a favor and order this for your dog's. You will not regret it.

Even though Is a good product according to ingredients and reviews , it didn't work for my dog . Her poop is too soft and owners itching got worst . I stopped it and not hep poop is formed again .

All three cats love it. They have been eatting the same amount since adding this in. Will buy again

I give this to both of my cats, but it has been especially helpful to my one cat, Fern. Fern has always had dry poops, terrible breath (like death), and in the past two years, she has shown elevated kidney markers. I read that poor dental health can cause bacteria to damage the kidneys and decided to try her on a probiotic for this reason. We just re-did her renal bloodwork and her numbers have improved, not to mention her breath doesn't smell as bad her breath and her poops look normal and not extraordinarily dry. Will keep her on this probiotic for life!

I bought this because both of my cats have dirty bums and since one of them is a diabetic the canned food diet is making their poops soft and sticky. In just a few days of using this there was a noticeable difference in both cats. The best part is they are willing to eat it which isn't usually the case for my cats. We tried the pumpkin fibre from the same brand awhile back and they wouldn't touch it. Will definitely continue buying this. Update: I wanted to come back and add an update after sticking with this routine for a couple of weeks, especially since a few people found this helpful. I initially started giving this to both of my cats (one of whom is diabetic and was struggling with soft stools), and the results have been incredible. ​Not only did it clear up the digestive issues completely, but the behavioral shift in my diabetic cat has been night and day. Back when he was first diagnosed, he was clearly feeling awful—he was distressed, restless, pacing the house, and constantly vocalizing. Since getting this every night with both cats, he is a completely different cat. He’s finally content and relaxed, spending his time getting comfortable in his window bed instead of pacing and whining. Both cats have great, clean stools, and the peace of mind is priceless. I squeeze a tune for each cat into a plate and add their probiotic to it, mix it up and give it to them. Absolutely sticking with this!

Excellent product! Has done wonders with my Golden retriever digestion.

Fido doesn't like it and rejects food regularly when this is added. I can't tell if the item works or not.

We have two Frenchies with severe allergies, they cannot have any kind of kibble or treats that contain any kind of wheat or yeast. The paw licking was serious, we've tried Epson salt soaking, anti parasite soaps, but nothing slowed them down. We are now on our second container of this product and I have to say, it's working. The licking has decreased noticeably, the redness is gone and now the licking they do it is probably just habitual, and occasional. We are very satisfied with the product.
