ONETIGRIS Obsidian Ultralight Sleeping Pad, 5.2R Insulated, Inflatable Camping Backpacking Sleeping Mat Weighs 2.05lb, 74.4" x 24.8"

Ok...so, I was using the insulated klymit static v luxe, but this OneTigris Obsidian pad is leagues above that garbage. This pad, even though narrower than the klymit pad (30" vs ~25") is MUCH more comfortable with its quilted-style baffles vs the v-shaped ones, and with its 5.2 R-Value it is WAY warmer than the klymit, especially when paired with a CCF pad underneath. With 3 sheets of TPU membranes and 3 layers of reflective aluminum-coated membranes, I could actually feel my body heat being reflected back to me, helping to keep me nice and toasty even though the outside temps dropped down into the 30s. It is a little heavier than more expensive pads that offer the same warmth, but at just a hair over 2 pounds, it's not exactly "heavy". The pad comes with a stuff sack, a couple of repair patches, and even an inflation sack, which I actually don't really like. Yes, the pump sack will inflate it with about 5 breaths, but it's quite large and I found it to be more cumbersome than just inflating it with my mouth, but I may give it another go on my next outing. It may sound a little crinkly when you've got it inflated and you squeeze it, but I didn't notice any crinkling while I was sleeping on it, and I'm a side sleeper who tosses and turns a LOT during the night. Not once did it disturb me. I can't speak to its durability yet, but I will be updating this review as I get more nights with it under my belt. My ONLY real gripe about this pad? The air valve. No problems inflating it, and the deflate valve dumps the air instantly when opened, BUT, there is no way to let just a little air out to adjust the firmness to your liking. It's a small gripe, as I found my inflation sweet spot pretty quickly, but I feel that's a legitimate concern others may have. With all the value this pad brings, I still wouldn't let that one thing steer me away. All in all, I LOVE this pad and I will be purchasing another (for a backup), and I'll most certainly be checking out what other backpacking products OneTigris offers.

Best sleeping pad I have had so far. I slept 3 nights camping with it so far. First night was not as good as I added too much air for my comfort. I am 6 foot and 160 lbs ( I am a side sleeper) and then for the second and third night I inflated around 75% full and I slept SUPER good as camping in a tent goes. As the pad is not super thick my hip would touch the ground as I move side to side but did not bother me. The night it went low to probably 50 degrees (10 c) and I was warm. I still want to use it when it is colder and I will update this reviews. It looks durable, it inflated for me with the stuff sack just fine, and probably lost just a bit of air during the night.

I have used this sleeping mat for 5 times. By the 3rd time, the air pumping system essentially stopped working, and most of the air leak away during inflation, it was very hard to pump unless I was doing it by my mouth. By the 5th time, there seems to be hole somewhere that despite patching, I could not get it to be refilled. Not very durable unfortunately, and now I can't do anything with it... It is light (although there are others that are lighter) and reasonably comfortable when it was fine. Low key disappointed :(

Highly recommended to use an air pump, otherwise it took me around 30 full pumps from the included pump sack to inflate the mattress. Inflation taking 5 years aside, the material was nice and quiet, not a scratchy sound/feeling when moving on top of it. The inner material within the mattress kept me insulated from the cold ground and kept my back warm compared to the frigid cold ground. 2lbs is heavier than most but well deserved in terms of insulation. For those who want to backpack on a budget, this is a great item to trade dollars for a lb compared to others like the Thermarest or Nemo Tensors.

A little heavy but very warm, a little difficult to inflate, the pump sack isn't very good. I was pretty happy with my level of comfort, as with all air mattresses for this purpose it's a little loud but many others are louder. Over all a great deal, I highly recommend

This air mattress is perfect for backpacking trips. It's very light and packable. While it is easy to carry, it is not so easy to inflate. The included inflation sack thingy is difficult to use and not intuitive. I had an easier time just blowing it up with my lungs (which causes light headedness if done too fast). Overall very satisfied and have recommended to friend who camp.

Very nice low profile and light weight definitely recommend for backpacking in colder weather. it’s as comfortable as it can be for a cold weather sleeping mat. only issue I have is leaking of air. Woke up twice during the night I used it to re inflate the mat. Quality control needs some work but repair kits are fairly inexpensive and it always good to have them anyway.

I’ve used the OneTigris Obsidian on a few camping trips now, and I’m really impressed with what it offers for the weight and price. It’s surprisingly comfortable—about 8 cm thick when fully inflated—and provides solid insulation, even on colder nights. Inflating it is quick and easy using the included pump sack. It only takes a few compressions, and I’m set up in under a minute. Packing it down is just as simple, and it fits nicely into my pack without taking up much space. What I noticed right away was how warm it felt, especially when temperatures dipped overnight. The reflective inner layer does a great job of retaining body heat, and the R-value of 5.2 definitely feels accurate. I stayed warm and cozy, even when sleeping directly on cold ground. The material feels tough but light—durable enough to handle rocky or uneven terrain without me worrying about leaks. And while it's not the softest fabric ever, it's comfortable enough to sleep on with just a sleeping bag on top. One thing to note: it’s important to fully inflate it to get the best warmth and support. On my first night, I underinflated it and felt a bit of pressure on my hips, but once I added a little more air, it made a huge difference. Overall, it’s a great sleeping pad for backpackers or campers who want something warm, light, and reliable without spending a fortune.

Used it in near zero degrees and it kept the cold out. Very comfortable for nights out on the hills. I used a small air pump to inflate, finishing it if with my breath to fully inflate rather than the bag provided. Would strongly recommend buying this pad, reasonably priced too compared to others of the same quality.

Great OneTigris quality, nice and warm. The ‘inflating bag’ is a bit of a faff. I use a pump and top it up with the bag. Mid-priced. When mine also wouldn’t hold air, I decided I could fix it. After numerous attempts to dunk it in the bath, or use soapy water, I tracked the leak down to the obvious culprit. The valve. Specifically, the non-return-valve. To check yours, inflate, and fill the ‘well’ above the NRV with water. If you see bubbles, take it apart, clean the sealing surfaces, reassemble and voila!!! No more bubbles, no more leaking. If yours won’t hold air, why not give it try before you bin it!!

I purchased this on a whim, since I already have a good summer sleep mat, and a fantastic winter one (s2s). However I kind of wanted a mat to bridge the gap for Autumn and Spring use, balancing warmth, comfort and affordability. This mat does tick all those boxes. It is indeed warm, very comfortable, and cheap for a matter of with a 5.2 R-rating. Whether or no it is a true 5.2R I do not know, I could see nothing about it being ASTM certified, so time will tell, but if it is as good as I believe it to be from lots of use so far, then I may be ditching my £300 S2S matt this winter for this!

Second one purchased after returning the my first purchase. This is a very comfortable pad & does help keep you warm I have used it when it has been -4C. Here is the kicker both pads do not hold air both purchase have had deflation issues. I am now thinking about returning another sleep mat. My advise this is risky to buy as you do not need a sleep mat with a high fail rate.
