Still waiting to catch a fish using these. Had a Mepps 5 black fury in my box for a while - after hearing so many people swear by it, I gave it a shot. got hung up and lost it on my 3rd cast. Ordered this set of 3 to replace it and have already lost 2 of them. I want to order again to replace the ones I've lost, but so far I haven't even had a bite.Lesson learned (the hard way, 3 times now) these things get caught up very easily. That's probably to be expected.

If I was given one lure to fish with forever...It'd be Mepps #5.

These guys are great! My dad introduced these to me years ago when I was a kid. When I'm getting skunked using other lures, I turn to the Black a fury and I am amazed at the results! Word of advice...don't use near rocks or heavy cover or the treble hooks will catch and you will lose them. They work great running just above a grass bed or in a little deeper water. If you really need to throw near weed beds or rocky areas, buy the Black Fury that has the yellow worm trailer that runs weedless. Bottom line...Bass love these lures!

I live In Maine and have fished the rivers with classic Mepp's gear for trout beacause it proforms. I think about a lure as an investment and I want high yelds for that investment, this lure does just that. the "Black Fury" is a proven piece of tech that any angler would love to have and Is a pleasure to use.If you want to win at the fishing derbies, well this is your "Ace in the hole."Word to the wise: this is a Great deep, open water tackle. Just make sure to keep it in the open and not to embedded in cover like weeds and logs. treble hooks get stuck easly if your not a well seasoned angler.

Buyers should know and be aware that the color of the lures received are not as pictured in the listing. There's no clear indication anywhere in the listing that lure colors in the Pocket Pack may vary. Secondary to the lack of this notice and receiving hot-pink and odd-colored lures that lack natural color and unlike those pictured, I returned and asked for a replacement. The replacement item received as identical to the first (hot-pink and odd-colored lures). Mepps are consistently a great product and big bass do in-fact love the look and motion of a #3 Mepps. The price for this pack is totally reasonable, but I was personally dissatisfied that the product received (times 2) was not as pictured.

I've used Mepps for years and intend to keep buying them. They don't work as well with braided line but I don't really have a problem with them. though they are more likely to get caught on something if you river or shore fish a lot. Otherwise, an awesome product.
