Dermalogica Stabilizing Repair Cream for Sensitive Skin

This has been my dream product. I used to use dermalogica for years as I was introduced to them since training in beauty but for whatever reason I moved to something else. I believe it was because I done instagram reviews and made a PR list of a product I really wanted to try. Long story short I found my way back to the brand and was amazed at all the new products they released since I trained with them in their training centre. I made an order with them for a small order but ended up adding this one to my rotation because it popped up on my recommended list on here, and I’d just done a chemical peel, so if you know anything about peels, then you know you just need super nourishing and repairing. So I got this to use along with the calming products and I was amazed by just how quickly my skin bounced back from the peel. Normally you get that tight sensitive skin when you make any type of facial expression as it was a medium/deep peel vs a superficial one. It stopped me from that dreaded irritation/itch you get before you’re about to shed like a snake. Since that peel I’ve used it to heal from microneedling, that’s sped up the turnaround before I can add back in active ingredients. I’ve also used it on irritation days when I started tretinoin, if anyone uses tretinoin you know that it takes some getting used to and during prescription %, and for those who dont it’s basically retinol in it’s truest form which is much much more strong that over the counter retinol. So you go through irritation like your face is tight, red, hot, inflammed until your skin is accustomed to it. This has just been my skin saviour because I just like to go wild with active ingredients and notoriously I went crazy using acids and treatments and retinol etc. Being beauty trained I do chemical peels, microneedling so you need to use more calming ingredients on down days to heal from those, so there will always be a regular monthly need for this product. Even if you don’t have a complicated skincare system this is lovely for anyone with compromised skin from eczema, psoriasis, rosace, sunburn, windburn, the list is endless and it can be really nourishing and calming on a daily regular basis. While this is so nourishing and calming, it does it while not feeling heavy or greasy. It just sinks into the skin and gives that glass like natural highlight in all the right places.

I had some very bad perioral dermatitis from other products and I've used this for a few weeks and the itching and burning has gone. I really love this it is rich and lovely

Soft and absorbed quickly. No grease

I was more than disappointed. Having used dermologica barrier repair for years, I tried the recommended replacements. Smells awful does not leave my skin feeling like velvet. Not a great base for make up. Ened up with 3 milk spots in a few days. Dermologica you have just lost a life time customer. I would not recommend either product. Bring back barrier repair. If its not broke don't fix it. Barrier repair great for sensitive skin, no fragrance, repairs skin leaving it feeling like velvet. Felt like I was being kind to my skin, so didn't mind the £50. This is more expensive and simply not fit for purpose.

Another amazing, high-quality product from Dermalogica. Excellent at reducing inflammation and sensitivity overnight. High price point, but great value for money.
