50' X 50' Net Netting for Bird Poultry Aviary Game Pens New 1" Square Mesh Size (50' X 50'-1'')

Worked out great. We used it to create an open enclosure for our Hens. Keeps them in and keeps the hawks out!

After I lost one of my chickens to a hawk earlier this month I scoured the internet looking for a cost-effective solution that would offer them protection from above without impacting the amount of fresh air and sunlight they get in their fenced-in yard. This solved the problem for me. The net is fine enough that it's practically invisible (to humans) and it easily covered the area I needed it to. I've seen several hawks circling overhead since I put the net up, but they move on as soon as they see it. I've had it up for just about a month now, and it's holding up nicely so far. It was relatively easy to hang once I devised a system to suspend it, as it's lightweight and surprisingly easy to manipulate. My only grievance is that it's not square, and I'm not sure the dimensions given are really accurate. It didn't negatively impact me, but it's something to be aware of.

I finally got chance to spread out the net on a gym floor. The net I received is NOT 50’ x 50’. The net is 50’x38’ on one side and 50’x 44’ on the other side. The net was cut crooked and is no where near 50’x50’. I have added some pictures for your review, If you need more let me know. Please replace the the net with the correct size or at least (and not my first choice) send me the 12’ I was shorted.

Perfect! Big enough to stretch over the chicken area and keep the hawks out. Small birds and squirrels still get through, but nothing gets stuck (thank goodness).Con: trying to set this up was like trying to nail jello to a wall. Definitely a 2-3 person job and have a ton of zip ties.

I bought this to protect my blueberries. I thought it was an improvement over the plastic bird netting you can get at your local hardware store. The weave is so large that average size birds could get their heads in but not their bodies. They would then panic and get tangled. I have found 2 dead birds in one week, 1 of which was a woodpecker and later 1 live bird that I was able to save.It was also a nightmare to put on, even with two people. It is such a fine thread that it would get tangled on everything including between individual blueberries and even grass would snag it and tangle it. I have been using bird netting for years and this was the worst product I have ever used.Something has to be really bad or really good for me to write a review and this one was so bad I had too. The only positive I saw was that the thread seemed strong. I couldn't break it when I tried to get the birds (alive or dead) untangled.

I bought this netting to cover a large fenced area for my chickens so they could not get out. Normally they free range during the day and I lock them up at night so they are safe from raccoons, opossum, weasels, foxes and so forth. Lately, however, a cougar (mountain lion) has begun to consider my flock as his daytime buffet. Until I can figure out how to solve that problem the chickens are going to have to deal with some confinement. The netting is better quality than I expected considering the low price. I even think it is strong enough to thwart the cougar should he attempt to jump the fence to get at my chickens. Stretched tight it would, of course, be no match for the big cat, but hung loosely over the fence with a central wire running the length of the enclosed area to act as a peak I think it is more than a match. Should the mountain lion leap the fence it will quickly find itself inextricably entangled in the two inch mesh. Overall I am extremely happy with this purchase and will buy again. I have some fruit trees, blueberry bushes, and raspberry vines that could use some protection from birds. One warning to anyone using this product, it comes neatly folded and is easy to unfold, but you should definitely have help when using this. It is very large and will hang up on everything and anything it comes into contact with, even tall grass. This is not a detraction from the product, but a thing that is true of all netting. Be prepared.

Previously purchased to cover my run and protect my hens from hawks. It was tricky to put up but did the job it was intended to do. This time around, however, the net arrived already tangled so badly, we couldn't do anything with it. When trying to untangle it, it began to tear in several places until it was basically shredded and useless. It ended up in the trash and a total waste of money. I was highly disappointed.I am now editing to add that on the side of my run that I did manage to cover with the product, it has done its job of preventing hawk attacks. Unfortunately, I have also had several wild birds get caught in the net and some die. It also has the disadvantage of trapping leaves causing sagging in the net.

love this for over my Koil pond. its a big net and not meant to be cut down in size, but you could do it if you wanted too. its not a tangled mess, but if you dont have a plan or try to open it on your driveway and move it, that will be a mess. this will stick to everything but all netting does, and its a huge piece of netting. my husband and I put it on by ourselves and had just a few places it hung up on rocks. what I love is it is big enough holes the snakes, dragonflies and frogs can get through and not get tangled in it. birds stay away from it. fish stay safe under it. I have it about 2 feet off the water. its not very noticeable when in place. I gathered up the extra on the far side and used twist ties to secure the bulk and put on posts. I used to use small hole bird netting in plastic, but I leave my net on year round. this should do better.
