MeLE Mini PC Quieter 4C, N100 Fanless Mini PC 16GB RAM 512GB Storage

I have been using the MeLe Quieter 4C (16G/512G) for about a month now. Because of my earlier experiences with several other tiny PC models, I decided to wait for a while before I posted my review. This is the best tiny PC I have used so far - bar none. It is not the fastest (there are many tiny PCs here on Amazon with faster AMD and Intel CPUs), but it certainly is the most flexible and well-designed one. The chassis design actually does a good job of dissipating the heat. The N100 is a fairly powerful (about on par with a mid-level Intel Core i5 desktop CPU from 2015) processor that will run your office suite and even some CAD applications with ease. I have installed Microsoft Office, Corel DRAW and several puzzle/platform style games; and the MeLe PC runs them very well. I even run an Ubuntu Linux virtual machine on it using VirtualBox. I have kept it running for days on end, and have not encountered a single hang or crash with Windows 11. The location of USB-A ports and other I/O ports is ideal, and the neat, understated design actually looks good on any desk. No funky rounded corners, decorative lines, weird branding, or blinking RGB lights here : just a serious looking small black slab. Finally some tiny PC designer seems to have realized that not every customer of these computers is a 15-year old teenage boy. I have seen at least one review where the customer is "very unhappy" because the BIOS reports the core speed to be 800MHz. You can disregard this - the BIOS reports the *base* speed. The N100 has a maximum clock frequency of 3.4GHz - this does not mean it is going to run at this frequency all the time. During daily use the operating frequency is mostly around 1600-1800MHz for most common Web browsing and office tasks. Download a more sophisticated monitoring utility such as CPU-Z and you will see the actual core speed in real time. Edit (6/6/2024): Please note that the top critical review, which claims that this product does not support one-cable operation, is absolutely wrong. I have been using this mini PC with a single USB-C cable for power, video, and keyboard/mouse - all through the same hub. Whoever claims this mini PC does not support one-cable operation is simply not using an appropriate USB-C cable and/or hub. Being powered by a USB-C PD input with video capabilities is particularly a great feature - many other tiny PC brands here on Amazon use a proprietary 12V power supply. Especially after the pandemic, almost every knowledge worker has a monitor & keyboard and docking station setup to be used with a company laptop. The MeLe Quieter 4C (and other MeLe versions with USB-C PD power) will easily connect to your docking station via the single USB-C PD cable, much like your laptop. This alone is a super-useful feature that allows you to carry it anywhere: I often carry mine between office and a couple different docking stations at home. The various inexpensive USB-C hubs/HDMI docking stations sold here at Amazon will provide a docking capability for less than $10 with deals. Overall verdict: highly recommended, if all you need is a small, silent computer to do some school or office work, with even some light gaming or media consumption from time to time. Just a get an inexpensive M.2 SSD to increase the storage space, and you will be happy with this one. To the hardworking people at MeLe: you have an excellent product here, which probably deserves better marketing.

I recently purchased the MeLE Quieter 4C N100 with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD, and I am incredibly impressed with its performance and sleek design. Design & Build Quality: The first thing that caught my eye was the compact and slim profile. It’s incredibly space-saving, making it perfect for my small desk setup. The fanless design is truly a game changer! It runs silently, which is a blessing when working in a quiet environment or during late-night sessions. The overall build feels solid and premium despite its small size. Performance: In terms of performance, this mini PC has exceeded my expectations. With the Intel N100 processor and 16GB of RAM, multitasking is smooth and lag-free. It handles simple tasks and local video playback without any issues, making it perfect for light office work, studying, and even becoming the go-to mini for astrophotography. Connectivity I really appreciate how this mini PC is equipped with plenty of ports, making it easy to connect all my peripherals without needing any additional adapters. User Experience: Setting up the mele Quieter 4C was a breeze. It comes preloaded with Windows 11, which runs flawlessly. The fact that it stays completely silent is a big bonus—no fan noise even when the system is under load. This has made my work environment much more peaceful. Overall, this mini PC is an amazing deal for the price. It combines powerful performance, sleek design, and the perfect quiet operation. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a compact and efficient workstation!

This Mele Quieter 4C is tiny, but with lots of great features that make it a real work\horse for demanding tasks. It's fast, quiet (fanless), and interfaces easily with all of the usual peripherals. it supports up to 4K video output on three separate monitors, has Bluetooth and 2.4/5GHz Wifi, and can run from a single 12VDC supply (provided). Perfect for field use, or for any application that requires a pocket-sized, full-featured PC that doesn't need 120VAC to run. There is only one negative I can think of, and to me it's a minor one. Because the Mele does not have active cooling its outer case gets quite warm to the touch. Overall, very highly recommended!

I'm using this as a light duty web browser, file server, and to watch videos. I don't play games, or need Windows for any other reason, so I installed Fedora Linux 41. On my 4K monitor, running 2K video, the output was a little choppy on busy scenes. Using 2K resolution on the monitor solved that, I don't really need 4K output on a 28" monitor, and most videos I watch are 2K or even less. Possibly tweaking something will fix this issue, but I didn't attempt it. Taking off one star for that reason. Audio output from the headphone jack sounds fine but I only have it connected to bookshelf speakers via a small amp. Other than the resolution inconvenience, it works great. Linux install was painless, and so far flawless, although I am not using and have not tried wifi or bluetooth, so I can't say anything about those. As expected the case can get a little warm, the cores run on the hot side (50C idle, 60s watching 2K video, and I've seen 70s). As expected as well, and as far as I can tell, it makes no noise.

My last mini pc didn't last a year and a half. This one is really small - the size of an external storage brick. I mounted it on the back of my monitor. It gets hot to the touch, but according to CoreTemp it runs cooler than the older one did that had a fan. It's a bit slower than I like, but fine for the price. One needs to monkey around with myriad settings for both Windows 11 and the browsers to get the best performance. A memory cleaner helps too. Tried the phone link but I found it creepy and it sometimes made it harder to pair other devices. Make a recovery stick as soon as you have it set up, and then again after you get the settings to where you like them. I no longer keep nay important data on the computer itself. A multi usb splitter works well and I just use bricks and the cloud. Maybe this one will last longer than that CTONE mini that got a blue screen of death and then the never-ending spinning that would not allow me to get into the bios to boot any repairs. Glad I got the Asurion plan - full refund. Got it for this new pc also.

(Updated from initial 1 star rating due to failure after 1 week) I like the design and functionality, and the device suited my purpose perfectly, but it failed just as I was starting to get some use out of it. Unit wasn't 'completely' dead - after several minutes of waiting with just the V1.2.3 BIOS message you can still get a BIOS setup or boot source menu after using the F7/Del or F9 keys. But when attempting recovery or re-load of OS from the Mele support site Win11 Pro image, the system just freezes after displaying the spinning ball/arc logo for several minutes. --- I e-mailed Mele product support, and they were able to diagnose a likely failure of the SSD stick (note, I hadn't even formatted/partitioned the SSD at the time, the system as delivered is running Win11 entirely off of the built-in eMMC memory). I was asked to remove the SSD (four chassis screws and one SSD retention screw) and try to reboot the system - Success with no loss of stored eMMC data! Mele offered an equitable solution for the failed SSD and I've since ordered another unit for other purposes (as I mentioned, I like the design). I'd discussed the failure with a colleague that's had good luck with Mele products; his input and Mele's quick and effective product support prompted me to upgrade my rating based on the functionality and value of the product. [Note for others, I did have an issue with submitting my initial failure report through the Mele support site web page; if you can't get the form to submit, e-mailing the listed support contact address with the same information requested on the page was effective - Mele support was tied in to the Amazon ordering system and could identify and disposition my issue using the order number I supplied]

Idk, maybe I got a dud. It barley usable when I first got it and after a couple years has become completely unusable. I got it for music and stream video content other than Netflix, can't even do that. When it's replacement gets here it's going in the trash...

Product: MeLe Quieter 4C mini PC This is a nice little PC. It is absolutely silent since it has no cooling fans in it. It runs very warm. Almost hot. So I would be worried about its longevity. That high a temperature is inevitably damaging to the computer's internal components and any external peripherals one might attach to it (i.e. SD Card). Because of the heat, you need to be careful about placing this mini PC directly on your desk. It will damage the surface of your desk after a while. You can NOT plug this mini PC into a USB-C monitor for video and power through the same cable. You'll still need to plug the mini PC into a wall socket via the provided 12-volt, 2A power adapter. The MeLe Quieter 4C is a great idea that still needs some refinement.

Absolutely brilliant little unit. This is replacing my old Acer Aspire 12 year old laptop running win 10 with a Q3610M I7 8 thread cpu.. I did a benchmark test and single threaded performance of the N100 is actually slightly faster than the Q3610M! if it was 8 threads it would be faster than my old I7.. crazy how good tech is now. Have this set up in my observatory and hasn't missed a beat - only thing I recommend doing is disable the USB power management in device manager otherwise Win 11 will turn off your USB devices to save power (found this out the hard way with a USB 3 2.5gbit ethernet adapter when it was dropping out after a while). Got an Arduino in one port, 2.5 gig adapter in another and then an 8 port usb 3 hub in the last port. Running SGP with PHD2 with zero issues - it just works! highly recommend this system

Preso come mini PC per astrofotografia riesce a far girare tutti i software necessari senza alcun problema. Lo utilizzo con Stellarium, Nina, Green swamp server, PHD2 attivi e non fa una piega. Sicuramente non adatto per fare foto/video ritocco o gaming, ma non è ovviamente pensato per questi scopi.

Ich wollte für meinen Alltag einen PC der weniger Energie verbraucht, bei gleichzeitig guter Office Benutzung (Webbrowser, Youtube schauen, e-Mail, Tabellenkalkulation, ...) Mein altes Gerät ist in die Jahre gekommen und hat sich schon mal gerne >100W reingezogen (ohne Bildschirme) - auf dem habe ich auch Videos bearbeitet (das wird immer weniger Thema...). Also MeLE PC angeschafft - leise und energiesparend ist er: im Schnitt komme ich mit 12-14W im Betrieb aus, Geräusch null, aber passive Zusatz-Kühlung empfehlenswert, liegt zwischen zwei Kühlkörpern (unterhalb und oberhalb), die etwas größer sind als das Gerät selbst und werden so um die 40°C warm = ok. Geschwindigkeit ist ebenfalls recht akzeptabel, nachdem ich Windows 10 pro auf einer zugekauften 1 TB NVMe M.2 SSD installiert habe gibt es im Alltag kaum performance-Probleme. Genial finde ich die Stromversorgung (die mitgelieferte hab ich links liegen lassen; fixe 12V auf einem USB-C war mir zu gefährlich, trotz Warnaufkleber); stattdessen USB-C PD Netzteil (65W) + passendes Kabel (mit Display) dran und das passt jetzt. Das wirklich Feine, ist jedoch, dass diese USB-C Schnittstelle gleichzeitig die Videosignale ausgibt und auch LAN überträgt -> deshalb habe ich eine USB-C Dockingstation dranhängen (Stromversorgung auf die Dockingstation, HDMI-Ausgänge von der Dockingstation direkt auf die Monitore - läuft einwandfrei!). Habe eigentlich nur 2 kleine Kritikpunkte: (1.) Wärmeentwicklung ohne zus. Kühlkörper zu hoch (für mich hätte das Gehäuse ruhig ein paar Nummern größer sein dürfen, dann hätte ich mir die Kühlkörper sparen können) und (2.) das Betriebssystem auf dem eMMC Speicher vor zu installieren finde ich eher schlecht. Aber alles in allem bin ich bis jetzt sehr zufrieden mit dem Gerät.
