Gorgeously soft wool at a very reasonable price!
I'm using this wool to make a crochet blanket and wanted some chunky yarn to give the blanket a modern look. I was a bit worried that the yarn would feel a bit scratchy and squeaky (in the way that cheap yarn sometimes does). Because of this I only placed a small order the first time. I needn't have worried! The yarn arrived very quickly and is beautifully soft. The colours are very natural (I ordered a selection of oatmeal, grey, indigo, glacier and denim) and look a lot more expensive than they are. They crochet well (I'm using a 10mm hook) and the squares are looking lovely so far.I've since placed another order for the same yarn.

Nothing like the colour in the picture
I was a bit surprised when I opened this because it looks nothing like the colour in the picture BUT I was so pleased because it was the exact wool that I'd got from john lewis about a year before and had been looking for ever since! it's more of a turquoise colour than green and looks a lot like the "seaspray" shade that they do in chunky but not super chunky. personally I think it's a lovely colour but if you're looking for a dark green wool then I'd buy something else

Lovely but Fir colour is not true to life
This wool is soft, thick and easy to knit with. Ideal for a beginner or if you want quick results. I've tried this wool in Fir and Navy so far, both lovely colours but the Fir image colour is not true to life at all. A shame because I wanted a green colour, but now I have it I do like it. Teal v green is quite subjective but several people have agreed it is definitely a teal colour, and not as green as the image suggests. It seems closer to the airforce colour. It also has much more purple and ochre fibres in it than you can see in the picture. I've included some true green wool and some turquoise/aqua fabric in my picture for comparison, and some Savlon and golden syrup for (perhaps British only!) recognisable green and blue colour references. Other than one join/knot in a ball, and a couple of small patches of looser fibres, thickness and texture were fairly consistent. I made a large snood/infinity scarf with 3 balls, which was easy and quick to complete in stockinette stitch with 10mm circular needles. I'm sure I'll be buying some more of this wool!

Good quality super chunky wool
I have been using King Cole Chunky wool for some time now, making scarves for homeless people, and it makes lovely, warm, thick scarves. Serves the purpose for which I require it perfectly.

i found this wool to be very easy to knit with on 10mm circular needles
Knits up well, i found this wool to be very easy to knit with on 10mm circular needles. I started making a baby blanket but got carried away and now its looking more like a bed spread! I have purchased 20 balls so far.. white and airforce. I haven't washed my knitted project yet so cant say how it copes. I also give 4 stars as the wool does split quite easily so requires good tension whilst knitting. The price is very cheap but i would like to see some kind of discount for bulk buying. I ordered 9 balls of wool and had to pay 99p per ball for only second class delivery. However i definitely recommend to all knitters.Would just like to come back and update on the wool, after finishing my project and washing it, i noticed parts of my blanket had big stick out loops which i have had to repair. This could have been a fault on my part as i washed in the machine at 30°C.I advise to wash only on a very cool cycle if possible or hand washing would be better. However it was absolutely fine in the tumble dryer, add plenty of fabric softener when washing.

Soft plushy chunky and economical
Arrived in super quick time. I hadn’t ordered this yarn before so wasn’t sure it would be chunky enough but used with 10mm needles and I’m impressed. It’s super soft with a lovely bounce to it and definitely still has the chunky look. It’s also very economical as I’ve used almost half the amount that I expected to use compared to another chunky brand.I’ve photographed this yarn in the light and also in a dark lit room to show the full colour in different lights. It has a marl look but a nice dye.

Well done
This company are marvellous- they didn't have one particular colour I wanted but went out of their way to get something similar - they emailed me and let me know what was happening and were full of apologies. Wonderful company will definitely use again thank you
