Itcome out. Was a gift for a friend and he agree that it looks great and is very useful but.if you put into your pocket you will regret it. Smell and ash come out.

Smaller than I expected, can easily fit in a purse or pocket. Seems reasonably well made, with fairly thin and lightweight metal, and only a slight gap near the hinge... not sure if that'll allow ashes to escape or not. There's a small button to open the spring loaded lid, could accidently open in your purse or pocket.

Some items you instantly recognize as gift quality. This portable and compact ashtray falls into that category. It is very attractive, well made and would probably last a smoker's lifetime if taken well care of. This will be a gift item for a family member who recently visited my home. I quickly observed that while they smoked outside on my patio they were very considerate, and cleaned almost every ash dropped. I am not a smoker and do not own ashtrays. However, I should probably get one to keep in my home for smoking visitors. It can also be shared by more than one person at the same time, making it very convenient. It is easy to clean by simply washing out and drying well.
