YAXI EARPADS for Koss PORTAPRO 2Pairs (2P-PU+OG)

Purchased these before March of last year. Just recently my ears started getting sore from the foam compacting. So it's safe to say these last about a year, mind you I generally am wearing these about 4+ hours a day. Overall the price is worth it for the comfort and sound.

These YAXI ear pads are much thicker and more durable than the original pads. Super easy to put on. Very comfortable for hours of listening. Nice sound quality. Nice selection of colors are available. Very satisfied with purchase.

These are much more comfortable than the original Koss earpads, they don't change the sound much, but they do help decrease the bass a little bit, due to the increased thickness. The fit is perfect, and they were quite easy to install. I'd definitely get the 2 pack/pairs over the single set, as the price is much better.

This is at least my 3rd or 4th set of these. Not because they wear out fast, they don't, but because theyre just that good. The Yaxi Pad + Porta Pro combo is genuinely unbeatable for comfort, sound, and price. These things stay right at my desk next to my Sennheiser HD6XXs - thats the playing field they're punching up to, at 1/5th the price. If you have porta pros and you dont have these, you're missing out on a wealth of comfort and sound both. If you have neither and ended up here because you read about that combo elsewhere, let me just confirm that yes, it is as good as the audiophiles say it is.

These really make the PORTAPROs, like, a bajillion times more comfortable. Amazon is prompting me to speak to the following keywords, so I'll just go for it. whatever. SEO. AEO. FML. Quality - pretty good? It's foam so they do degrade/flatten over time, but like. just as you have to buy new underwear sometimes, you sometimes need to replace your earpads ease of use - i mean, you put em on once. It's 'easy to install' them -- just a little fiddling and you're set for a few months size - these are thicker and wider than the pads that come with your portapros. it makes folding the 'pros up entirely a little awkward, but its possible if you're okay with squishing the pads a bit. sound quality - im not an audiophile so I haven't noticed a difference, but I imagine they marginally improve the Outside Noise Quieting or whatever. idk. but shya, these are great! they won't last forever and WILL need to be replaced, but it's cool. that's life.

I've been using Koss Porta Pros for over a decade and have purchased several pairs, as they are a long-time favorite. I've always heard about pairing them with Yaxi Earpads, so I decided to try them out. While they are comfortable and cover a larger surface area, I encountered an issue that led me to return them: they limit the volume output of the headphones. If volume reduction is not a concern for you, then you might appreciate the enhanced comfort, as these pads are thicker and larger than the default earpads provided with the headphones. However, be aware that you may experience a decrease in volume output and sound clarity.

No doubt a significant upgrade for the porta pro headphones. Sounds much fuller and the quality is thicker than the stock foam covers. Not to mention the other colors really add a nice touch to customizing the headphones to make the look your own. Fits snug and so far I haven’t noticed any signs of tearing anywhere after a couple of years.

The problem with trying various ear pads is that they can alter the sound quite a bit. Sometimes a set of after-market ear pads can greatly improve the sound in a number of ways, while others may downgrade the sound qualities of that headphone unit. I'm delighted to report that these Yaxi ear pads are wonderful in so many ways. To begin with, I had purchased a pair of Koss KPH40i headphones and those chintzy little all black ear pads (if you even want to call them ear pads) resulted in a sound signature that was very thin, with little body. Sure, the music had a very open and airy sound, but with the stock ear pads, there was virtually no body or weight to the music. So I ordered this set of Yaxi ear pads and what a difference they made. They were a cinch to quickly install/apply - which was much easier than taking off the stock pads to begin with. What I immediately noticed was that the music was still quite open and airy, but now the body of the music had more weight - no longer thin! Bass was excellent and everything sounded quite smooth. In addition, because these are colored (red and gray), you can now tell which side is the right side (red color), so no more examining the headphones up close to see which side goes where. So I'm delighted with these and they rate 5 stars, especially at that low price for two pairs of ear pads.

Best pads ever

Très faciles à installer sur le Porta Pro, il est vrai que ces coussinets de remplacement améliorent le son du casque même si la mousse semble au premier abord tout ce qu'il y a de plus ordinaire, (surtout au vu du prix demandé). Bien plus agréables aussi que la version simili cuir qui avait tendance à écraser les oreilles.

This is a must have for any one who uses their portapro more than ten minutes at the time. Finally my headphones are comfortable enough to wear without me having to be annoyed.

They are pretty good, i only bought because my og foam pads were breaking apart. I honestly can’t tell the difference much tho so imo not worth spending $20 for two pieces of foam. Ymmv. P.S. I want red/blue color option which was not available (at time of my purchase, Spring 2025).

Excellent product. It fits nicely onto the Koss Porta Pro headphones, making them more comfortable to wear and also improving the sound quality. It's now possible to wear the Porta Pros for much longer because of the superior cushioning effect of the Yaxi earpards. They are thicker and wider than the original earpads that come with the headset. Also, the sound quality is more balanced, with less dominant bass with the midtones more audible. I'm very pleased to have bought these earpads. It squeezes more value and listening pleasure from the Porta Pros.
