This Soil is Worth the Splurge!
Okay, so yeah, initially I choked a little at the price tag for Burpee's Premium Organic Potting Mix. It seemed a bit much for, well, dirt! But let me tell you, after seeing the results, I'm a convert!I decided to give it a try on some struggling seedlings I had going, and WOW! Within days I saw a noticeable difference. They perked right up, started pushing out new leaves like crazy, and just looked generally happier. Here's what I love about this stuff:It's ACTUALLY Organic: Knowing it's free from all those nasty chemicals gives me peace of mind, especially since I'm growing veggies.Excellent Drainage & Moisture Retention: This is KEY! My plants aren't getting waterlogged, but the soil stays nicely moist so I don't have to water every five minutes. No Gnats!Great for Seedlings AND Mature Plants: Used it for both with amazing results.Feeds My Plants: This soil is rich in nutrients, so my plants don't need as much fertilizer!Lightweight and Easy to Work With: No more struggling with heavy, compacted soil. This stuff is fluffy and easy to handle.Honestly, the value for money is there. Yeah, it's a little pricier than some other potting mixes, but you get what you pay for! Healthy, happy plants and knowing you're using a quality, organic product. Highly recommend! I'm buying more for all my gardening projects.

Great for making your own fert mixes
Ooo the smell is strong on this one! But i will say this does not smell as bad as some fish fertilizers out there.I was looking for some cheap nitrogen fertilizer since I bought other fertilizers that were higher in phos and potash and wanted to focus on the vegetative/leaf growth of my plants. My plants love this, and this little bag is going to last me a long time since I only keep a handful of indoor plants.Succulents are thriving. Orchid leaves are green and strong after their blooms have died off; I'm hopeful for their future blooms to be big and strong as well.

amazing, best value
Organic coir is an exceptional, eco-friendly growing medium that has become a staple in gardening and horticulture due to its versatility, sustainability, and superior performance. Derived from the outer husk of coconuts, coir is a renewable resource that boasts excellent water retention while still promoting optimal drainage and aeration, making it ideal for a variety of plants, from vegetables and herbs to flowers and succulents. Its neutral pH level and resistance to compaction create a healthy environment for root systems to thrive, while its natural lignin content helps deter pests and fungal growth. Beyond its practical benefits, organic coir is free of harmful chemicals, providing a safe, natural solution for organic gardening enthusiasts. Easy to hydrate and rehydrate, coir can be mixed with other soil amendments like perlite or compost for customized growing needs. Additionally, it decomposes slowly, offering longevity for multiple growing cycles while minimizing waste. Overall, organic coir is a must-have for sustainable gardening, combining environmental responsibility with outstanding plant care performance.

Good quality soil, but very dry and hard to rehydrate
I really liked this seed starting mix overall — it's light, fine, and works well for delicate seedlings. However, it arrived extremely dry and almost hydrophobic, so it took a long time to moisten properly. I had to break it apart and mix in water gradually over time, which was a bit of a hassle. Once rehydrated, though, it performed great and my seedlings are thriving. Just be prepared to spend some time prepping it before use.

Nice medium
I’ve never used this material before and was looking for something to replenish my indoor plant pots that wouldn’t run the risk of gnats or attracting flies. I mixed it at a 1:3 ratio of the coir with the old potting soil and added a bit of water. It rehydrated the old soil pretty nicely and gave it a more healthier feel. Will update after a few months with how the plants respondedUPDATEso far the coir mixed soil has been good at retaining and distributing water throughout the soil. I also find I don’t need to add as much water as I used to when only using potting soil. My plants’ roots look healthy and my plants seem just fine. Though I suspect I’ll need to be giving them fresh potting soil soon as their growth isn’t as strong but for the time being I’ll ride out the rest of the year using the aforementioned mixture as it has been great for aerating the soil and having no pest problems
