Great fun, cooperative vs competitive.
So much fun. Weโve played it over and over with friends. Itโs complex, but once you learn, itโs easy to play. Love that itโs cooperative, rather than competitive. My one feedback for the producers would be to provide one or two more of the cardboard trays so you donโt have to mix so many different game piece types together and sort through them.

Very well designed, really fun.
Whether you're into the setting or not the core gameplay and mechanics make for a challenging and very compelling game. Definitely recommend trying this. We lost (somewhat) badly our first time, but once we knew what we were doing and that we had to be aggressive, we won on our second game which was very satisfying. The climate change aspects are also represented really well and it reflects the big picture of what our global society needs to do. Small details are also appreciated such as the details in the cards, including scannable QR codes that link to the real world information/challenge/technology. Matt Leacock once again delivers a great board game design and experience. I'm not sure if this has long-term replayability that Pandemic does, but , but we enjoyed playing this even more than playing Pandemic. It would be awesome to play a 'Legacy' (evolving story) version of this as was done with Pandemic Legacy.

Fun and informative game!!
Thereโs lots of boards, tokens, and cards so the setup is rather complicated but just two rounds into the game, you start to understand the flow. Great game and I like how itโs cooperative!

Great game, but no shrink wrap = arrives looking used
Super fun game! Great co-op with an educational theme, and has so many cards that allows for a lot of replay ability. My only complaint: the publisher is environmentally aware (obviously, hence the game), so they donโt shrink wrap it to avoid using plastic. Because of this, my box arrived already looking pretty worn; I thought it was a used copy at first. The artwork in the game is gorgeous so I was looking forward to displaying it, but not so much now. If this matters to you, maybe buy at a local shop to ensure โnewโ condition on purchase. Great game either way!

Great game, I like it more than pandemic
The puzzle that this game provides is very satisfying, where there are a lot of valuable things you can do but you can't do them all and there are tradeoffs for everything. It's a great medium-weight game that is relatively easy to pick up and learn with a breezy rulebook. The box did arrive a bit damaged from Amazon, although the game itself is in perfect condition. If I had to do it again, I'd buy it from a brick and mortar store just to make sure the box was okay, but the game itself is 5 stars.

Great Game, Iffy Packaging
I don't write Amazon reviews very often but I felt especially compelled to write one for this product. I had played this game with friends before, so I already knew that I would like the game itself. However, when my copy of the game arrived, one side of the box lid was almost completely ripped off. I can't really fault Amazon's handling of the product because the reason for the poor condition of the product seems to stem more from the board game manufacturer's (CMYK) decision to forgo shrink wrap in favor of an "eco-friendly" alternative, which is just two strips of paper stickers. I applaud their efforts to be more eco-friendly with their product design (completely in line with the theme of the game itself), but maybe they went a bit overboard in this regard. The sticker clearly didn't do its job and already broke before the product reached my hand, completely destroying the box lid in the process. Is it really eco-friendly if you skip a shrink wrap but also create a significantly higher rate (judging by all the horror stories shared by other Amazon purchasers) of failure such that you're creating a whole bunch of wasted materials through frequent returns?

Great coop boardgame which is very timely
Very fun, cooperative boardgame. If you haven't won by a certain point, you will reach a tipping point, and defeat will be very hard to avoid. Just like global warming. It is kind of a bummer when you lose, but when you win, it is awesome! Kind of an optimistic view of the world, with all the countries cooperating towards ending global warming.

cooperative machine builder - easy rules, quick teach
Solid easy game. cooperative. Base game not too difficult to win but can be adjusted to suit players. Reasonable amount of luck but good options to balance. plays fairly quickly, short rule set. arrived promptly. appears genuine product.

Best Cooperative Game I have played, the creator of Pandemic is one of the Designers
Pandemic is often cited as the game that started modern co-op gaming. Daybreak has great subject matter, fantastic but functional art (even QR codes so you can look up the research behind cards and the rules) and best of all because turns are simultaneous there is no down time as people are encourage to work together in the common goal of achieving drawdown and halting the effects of climate change. The rules are very easy to digest and many videos exist to teach the game (both official and on YouTube from various game content creators). An entire game should not take more than 2 hours. While there are some cards and edge cases that require rules interpretation it is easy enough to find answers on the Boardgamegeek forum.

A challenging, magnificent cooperative game
A brilliant game that really brings home the challenge of fighting climate change, but that leaves you feeling incredibly hopeful that humanity can pull through this existential threat
