SE7201-Q Quack Stick - Fun Sound Effect Instrument for Duck and Turkey Songs - Shake for Quacking Fun

I know it says 3 and up, but my 6 month old loves this instrument and it is so simply constructed, there's no chance of injury! He loves shaking it and lights up when he makes it quack at different volumes (depending on how vigorously he shakes it and what he's hitting). Considering the number of terribly annoying toys out there, I think this noisemaker is pretty innocuous. I would highly recommend it to other parents.

First, I must say that Music West is a really great company with excellent customer service. The first one of these Quack Sticks that arrived didn't work and I emailed the company to let them know. I had an immediate response and a couple days later - a replacement arrived. We had purchased about a dozen products for our child and this is by far our family favorite. And by family, I mean - young and old alike (grandparents through two Labs). It is an immediate atention getter and inspires laughter at both the responses and how fun and easy it is to make work (even @13 mos). I have never seen one in a musical ensemble, but it totally works in ours - which comprises mostly just a bunch of joyful noises to the Lord.

My son loves ducks & got one of these for his birthday. Great fun. Mostly sounds like a duck. Well made. I hope the rubber doesn't tear. It's a fun toy/instrument & I would buy another.

Our baby son fell in love with one of these when he visited the hospital for surgery and the music lady brought him one to play with. He wouldn't put it down, and went to sleep with it, rocking his head against it so it would go "quack! quack! quack! quack!" over and over and over. We bought him one when we got home, and he still loves it. It's an annoying sound, especially if his older siblings get ahold of it and start going crazy with the quacking, but of all the toys he's ever had, I think it's definitely in his top 3 favorites, which is pretty good for the price tag on it.

Honestly, fun to play with even if you're not a toddler. Very loud & crisp sound. Great noisemaker.

Got this as a gift for my 18-month-old nephew for Christmas, along with a box full of other musical instruments he could enjoy. This was the first one he got his hands on, and he didn't put it down all day! He loves chewing on the rubber piece and then taking it out of his mouth and shaking it all over the place and listening to the quacking sound. (It's also fun for us adults, because when he does that, slobber flies all across the room!)He LOVES this toy, and I love that it's something non-battery powered!

great musical toy, you can "shake it", do a sweeping "fling" motion, or press red end to a surface ( like your hand) to make the noise (great for kids). depending of intesity of motion can sound like a distressed duck to me but will raise a smile from everyone. recieved as a gift and kids loved it. the 18 mo. and 2yr old were all over making the stick sound (wish we had 2). well contructed plastic handle with spot on end to add a hand strap if needed. The red part is flexible rubber like material. With all the little kids' rough "sharing" they did not harm sound quality or rubber. i highly reccomend.
