Good.
I was looking for clean animal protein I could use when I'm in a rush or tired of cooking all the time. I'm happy with the clean ingredients in this. It's not too sweet, which I'm really happy about. Most protein powders are. I went to the company website first to buy this, but the only options available on their website, which otherwise look like the exact same products, included coconut sugar and had higher carb counts. So I looked here, and found this, which has fewer ingredients and is sweetened only with stevia. Yaay!! This is a little more difficult to mix than collagen powder, it's very sticky when moist, and it does have a little bit of a weird beefy taste - but that's because it's got more of the connective tissue ingredients, so I am willing to work with that. That's really important for our human health when we eat animal products. I mix a couple of scoops of this with a couple scoops of regular collagen powder and that makes it delicious and it mixes a little better. It still has tiny clumps, but no big deal. I usually stay away from milks of all kinds, but this really mixes and tastes better with milk so I am going to bend my rules for it. In the past, I have found ways to mix collagen powders w/water, butter, nut butters and things like that, but it really works and tastes a lot better with milk, especially with this beef protein powder. Nutritionally, I'm very happy with this and I will use it in a pinch when I don't want to take the time to cook something. There's only so much you can do to make animal protein like this taste delicious and produce the desired texture when mixed, so I think it's a good product and I'm overall happy with this. I will experiment over time w/different ways to prep it.

Outstanding Protein Powder for Clean Nutrition!
I’ve been using Equip Foods Prime Protein Powder for a few weeks now, and I am absolutely impressed! It’s rare to find a clean, grass-fed beef protein isolate that ticks all the boxes for a carnivore, paleo, or keto lifestyle, but this one truly delivers. The quality is top-notch—no fillers, no artificial ingredients, just pure protein from grass-fed beef. The flavor is fantastic and mixes smoothly, whether I use it in water, almond milk, or even my smoothies. What I love most is that it doesn’t upset my stomach like some whey proteins do, and I feel fuller for longer. Plus, knowing it’s sourced from grass-fed beef gives me confidence in its nutritional benefits. If you're serious about clean eating and want a protein powder that aligns with those values, Equip Foods Prime Protein is a game-changer. Highly recommended!

Absolutely Horrible Product!
This product is absolutely garbage! It doesn’t dissolve, it just turns to slimy chunky paste. The flavor isn’t bad until the plastic processed after tastes comes in. Put it in a shaker bottle and it is literally impossible to get the foam out of it to drink it and then you realize it doesn’t even mix. Absolutely terrible product and will never buy again. Wish I could figure out how to get a refund. This stuff is extremely expensive and to get a terrible product like this is even more upsetting.

Don’t get Salted Caramel!!!
This review is Specifically for the salted caramel flavor. It is AWFUL. Tastes horrid, is extremely sticky, and does not mix well. I even use a milk frother thing to adequately mix it and it’s so clumpy and foamy. Now, I have also tried the mint chocolate flavor and that one is 10x better. It tastes great and I have no issues at all with mixing. I’m not sure why the two flavors have such a a different consistency and aftertaste but they do. I just repurchased the mint chocolate and will likely throw the rest of this salted caramel away.. it’s that bad. Salted caramel = 1 star Mint Chocolate = 5 stars.

Love the caramel!
I'm a huge caramel fan, so I loved this flavor! Very smooth, high quality protein. I will say, the flavor is quite strong, so I ended up diluting it with a bit more liquid than I would normally use, but I didn't mind doing that. I loved combining this with chocolate, too!

Does not play well with others.
Tastes fine, but the product does NOT mix! I have a burly double headed frother, a ninja blender, and Vitamix smoothie blender. Nothing could get the clumps out of this protein powder.

Great Protein, With a Few Caveats
I’ve been using this protein powder for about three years to increase my protein intake first thing in the morning, and overall I really like it. A huge plus is that it’s dairy- and whey-free, and the flavor is really good. That said, a full serving can be overly sweet with a noticeable stevia taste, so I find it works best paired with something slightly bitter like coffee or cacao. I also had to learn through trial and error that when mixing it into a hot drink, I need to stir it vigorously in very hot water first to dissolve it or it can clump and ruin the drink. Once I figured that out, it became much easier to use. I especially appreciated having a flavorless version during pregnancy when I had food aversions. It was so convenient and not something I found widely offered. Overall, I’ve continued buying it for years and think it’s a great option, but the sweetness and finicky mixing keep it from being a perfect 5 stars for me.
