It Worked well. Valve for money.

Have been using it for close to a year now, the NVR is good. The low rating is for the following specific issue. Initially while installing, I used a 2TB Seagate Video HDD, it worked fine for a few days and after which had HDD issues, the NVR only detected part of the HDD storage capacity and had issues with recording video. Suspecting HDD failure, replaced the HDD with another 500GB Video HDD, had trouble detecting HDD. Which suggested some issues with the NVR, googled for some help and found could be a power adapter issue, i.e., not providing enough current. The provided power adapter was rated 12V, 1.5 amp, replaced it with a 12V 2 amp adapter, problem solved. Newer HDDs may be power efficient, but mine was an old one. So if you face HDD issues try a better power rated adapter. Another issue I am facing is detection of same camera twice, leading to IP conflicts, not sure whether this is a IP camera issue or NVR issue.

The external box cover wasn’t too bad and I expected a new Hikvision sealed box and this definitely wasn’t the case. The casing looks squashed and the NVR had dirts on it. This is probably a returned item. I am travelling Friday hence am not in a position to return this otherwise definitely would have done so. I really hope it works properly once I connect it up.
