I confess that I did not read what it said on the lid of the jar before I opened it, I could see the writing but it did not register that it said I had to immerse the jar in warm water then shake it. There is more to it than that. When I opened the jar I could see what looked like ordinary set coconut oil, but not as tasty and rather hard. When I put the lid back on I saw the writing so I put the jar in warm water just up to the lid because I didn't want the water getting in. I left it for some time but nothing seemed to be happening to the contents so I put some hotter water in the container, and eventually I could see it melting a little. It took some considerable time and rather a lot of shaking and still the contents were separated so I poked it about with a knife and stirred it until it eventually was all the same consistency. It tasted amazing.However it has to be stored refrigerated so the resultant " butter" is a hard crumbly difficult to remove from the jar mass. It is impossible to spread it. The flavour is irresistible though. I love it.

Absolutely yummy! I use to sweeten turmeric lattes and this does the job brilliantly.

I usually buy another brand, which I'm used to & so will go back to that. Doesn't work for me that the oil element of the product sits thinly all over the blocks, I prefer it accumulated in a chunk, at the end of the block (like on the other brand) its far easier & less messy to remove and can be kept for other uses. With this one though find the scraping it off can't avoid taking some of the butter along with it, or leave too much on. The taste was good, its also quite creamy &smooth.

I really enjoyed this product, I put it on toast and pancakes to start with, then used it melted and added to shakes and hot chocolate. At room temp it looks like wax, and the instructions tell you to warm in water to melt it. I found that a pain so was melting it in a microwaveable container. I have not quite got the taste using it on savoury food, I have ordered coconut oil to try that. The smell and taste are not overpowering but as I love coconut I found it was lovely to use, and used the jar up fairly quickly. I tried a little straight from the jar and it was a bit like eating smooth peanut butter, melted on toast etc, it was tasty and not so claggy.

It didn't seem much different from the Coconut Oil in my opinion. I had thought it would be more like a buttery consistency, but it just seems like the oil, in fact, I couldn't taste any difference. Looks like my dogs will be having the butter too!

Used this to make Magic Shell chocolate coating..... thats the liquid chocolate syrup that hardens into a crunchy topping when poured over ice cream, you need only coconut butter and chocolate chips so yummy! I also make Hemsley & Hemsley's 'Paradise Bars' as suggested by another reviewer...Thank you to Rose Lois Presley!!!:-)) So easy to make We are addicted to these just great for the gluten free dairy free family members. The coconut butter is easy to melt in warm water in the bag provided or in a bowl over simmering water (I tried both) The coconut butter was very fresh and tasty I am about to buy some more.

I'd tried another brand first, but when I read the reviews for this product I decided to go mad and buy it (even though I still had most of the previous tub left). I'm very glad I did. It's so soft and creamy, and smells delicious too! It's easy to soften it up by simply running your finger over the top of it a couple of times (coconut butter is hard/'sets' when it's cold), and is very easy to apply. It's absorbed quickly too, so isn't really greasy.The other reviewers were right: this seems to be the best coconut butter on the market.
