Most important book for Every Human Being to Read...
Yes I mean it. Understand yourself a lot better after reading this brilliant journey thru the senses - everything from the well-known sight, touch, taste, smell etc, to the equally real senses of one's own inner life, physical and spiritual, and the senses of 'concepts' and the essence of other beings (what is known to all as being a 'judge of character'). Highly recommended for every biped able to read.

Our Twelve Senses (How Healthy Senses Refresh the Soul)
Warning, this book is not a traditional scientific investigation of the senses; it is based on Anthroposophy, a philosophy founded by Rudolf Steiner, which believes that by studying the spiritual world, one can gain the same insight and understanding in a similar way to those who investigate the physical world using the natural sciences (biology, chemistry, physics etc).In reading the introduction and preface one's suspicions become aroused and you start to get the sense that this isn't going to be the scientific investigation of the 12 senses that the title would have you believe. References to spirituality, anthroposophy and astrology begin to creep in and alarm bells start ringing but one perseveres and pushes on to the first chapter, `The Sense of Touch and the Life Sense'. This in the main is actually very interesting; with some good phenomenological insights but chapter ends by bring in astrology and ones heart starts to sink again. You moved on to chapter 2, which is on the `The Sense of Self-movement and the Sense of Balance' and this picks up where the previous chapter left off i.e. astrology, and the whole book continues in a similar vein. The book intermixes pseudo sciences of astrology, spiritual psychology etc, with the natural sciences, presumably to add weight and plausibility to the argument but without the empirical data to back this up.If the investigation of spirituality, astrology etc is your thing then this book is for you, if not read the first chapter and leave it at that.
