Surig Essig Essence Vinegar - 14 oz

Nice and strong, like I used to get in Germany. Better flavor as well.

Growing up in Germany in the 1950s and 60s" this product was a classic in every kitchen, and was one of just a handful of things I'd always bring back with me from my trips to Europe. I was delighted to find it here on Amazon. I love its simple pure neutral taste and its economy: a little goes a long way. I mix a batch of vinegar (1 part Essig Essenz to 4 parts water) in a glass bottle for daily use in salad dressings or other foods, as well as to make non-toxic cleaning supplies. The Essenz lasts indefinitely and does not have to be refrigerated. You can also get creative and delute it with wine or apple cider instead of water for a variety of tastes, but the product should not be consumed in its undeluted state.

This is one hell of a product. I've used it in Germany for cleaning. It cleans like nobody's business. Comes in a glass bottle, and is actually 24% acidic.HOWEVER, THIS ITEM HERE IS WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY OVERPRICED!!!! I ordered two bottles here on Amazon for about $12 each. I just found it elsewhere online for $4 each with only $6 S&H for six bottles. And yes, it was/is the exact same bottle and brand. These folks need to come down on their price.

Bottle leaked in package. Because of that I have not used the product.

Good stuff

Got my first wart ever- and after having to make my poor little son back and forth to the doctor for freezing his off so many times- I was not keen on going to the doctors. I had ordered this for diluting and cleaning, but thought I'd give it a try as a home remedy. My wart was on the top of my index finger I only had to use this for two and a half days and the wart was destroyed and has not come back. I used it full strength on a piece of cotton and could only tolerate it for about 15 minutes twice a day. Yes, it did hurt quite a bit and, yes, the skin sloughed off wherever the vinegar touched. But-from what I hear of these little warts, it's practically a miracle that it was cured in such a short time with one round of treatment!

This is a very versatile vinegar. I'm not sure why they keep saying it's 28% vinegar, the bottle says 25%. No matter, it is extremely strong and must be diluted to consume. I use it in the kitchen all the time. If you like your condiments with a little extra kick, add a little Surig. I just wish an American manufacturer would make and sell spirit vinegar. It's pricey, but a little goes a long way.

Being born and raised in Germany, Essig Essence Vinegar are a must in most German Households. Whenever I moved to the US, it was hard finding a strong vinegar since american vinegar's are all watered down and not as strong as this Vinegar. I use this vinegar for cleaning pots, disinfecting kitchen / bathroom surfaces and use it as salad dressing..... Ordering it from here may be a little to expensive but well worth it.
