Hefty and strong
I have a mole problem, but at least now I am working on it.I got this primarily to use the stick to identify tunnels without caving them in. It works great for doing that and the digger is good for digging your way into the hole. I have been digging and putting bait worm kills for moles and this stick makes much easier and more successful than a hand shovel. The moles are still active in my yard, but I hope they are kicking the bucket underground. However, if there are still signs of them come spring, I will pick up mole traps and use this pole to its fullest potential. It would be a personal reward to see those little buggers dead in person.

Good Size and Easy to Use
The Gopher Stick came with the main probe/stick, and 3 wires for attaching to gopher traps. The stick is about 17 inches long and 2.5 inches wide for the digging end. The wires are about 20 inches long and have a crimped loop on one end and a small carabiner to attach to the trap on the other end. Feels like a good quality product. The stick is good for poking the ground looking for the tunnels. It is easy to push into the ground, if the ground isn’t too hard. One can feel the tunnel gap when the stick pokes easily for the height of the tunnel and then harder again. The top of the stick has a nice curved metal top to make it easy on the hand pushing it into the ground. One improvement I think they should make it so make the bottom of the handle curved just like the top so when you pull the stick out of the ground. When pulling the stick out, the pressure is across the fingers in the bottom thickness of the metal handle. The price at 37 seems high for what you are getting, even tho it is a nice quality metal. Time will tell how it holds up to rain and morning mist.I did not try the digging part of the stick as I thought a towel would be easier.

Well made
This is really well made heavy duty stake to secure your gopher trap. I recently got one or even more gophers digging their tunnels around the property so this stake will help me to secure the trap and prevent from having the trap disappearing with the gopher. I did not have success yet, but the trap with a stick is still there in place so hopefully soon the results will be seen. As of now I will be gladly recommending this stake to others.

My husband's ecstatic--the gophers are not!
Wow! When I opened the package I was pleasantly surprised at the heft of the Gopher Stick. This is a heavy, solid and strong device which is extremely useful. I sent my husband out to test it on the beasts which are trying to destroy our tiny lawn. He came back thrilled by the function of the new Gopher Stick. He commented on the sturdiness and attention to detail on what appears to be a very simple product. The welds appear absolutely solid. He commented on how much easier this Stick makes finding the gopher runs and clearing the way to place the trap. Plus, with the steel cables (three included), he doesn't have to worry about the little critters chewing the trap off of the stake. Hopefully it will also save the trap from being absconded by a rogue coyote. Yes, we live in the wild, wild west. And the gophers here bear a close resemblance to the one portrayed in Caddy Shack--but not as cute. This stick will hopefully hold the trap and help us eliminate these destructive rodents.

Great system
I've had a back and forth battle with gophers or moles since I bought my current house. Sometimes it feels like a scene from Caddyshack. I've been trying the gopher stick for a few weeks now. So far I haven't had any luck. I think mainly due to it being winter and the ground has froze. It's very easy to use and durable compared to other products I've used. I'm sure the once it begins to warm up I will be able to start catching them. I will try to update this later on how it goes.

Great tool
Been looking for a probe to use in the gopher mounds so I can place a trap in. This item was a perfect tool to probe and dig. It even comes with some wire tethers for the traps. Good quality and will definitely recommend.

Excellent Product
I use gopher traps to address the issue of gophers damaging my back lawn. One challenge is ensuring the trap is securely in place with an anchor point and cables. I previously used sticks with string, but the stick tended to break when trying to push it into the grass, especially when the ground was hard during the summer.I recently purchased a gopher stick, and I must say it's a high-quality tool. Crafted from a solid stainless steel rod, it weighs 11.5oz/328g and measures approximately 17 3/8" in length with a thickness of 10mm/0.4" inches. The cable, inclusive of the carabiner, spans 21" in length. In my opinion, the gopher stick is an outstanding product and will serve as a valuable addition to my gopher trapping efforts.

Very Sturdy Piece of Equipment
I got this thinking that it would be good for securing the trap and nothing else, and was greatly surprised to see how solid this gopher tool is. The shaft is very solid and looks to be 3/8" in diameter. The little shovel part is also very sturdy and can easily dig through the soil. There are three tethers to secure three traps to it. I have never used one of these before, but I am really looking forward to using this tool. I used to just let the gopher take the trap away. If the trap was gone, then I knew that I killed a gopher. I used to go through a lot of traps.
