Review: The best caliper paint. - Have been using Foliatec's 2 part caliper paint since the 1990s and is by far the best such paint. When cured it is unaffected by cleaning solvents, and easilly lasts 7+ years, and keeps calipers from looking like neglected things of rust. I remove the calipers and mounting brackets and paint both, 2 coats, and the job is a good one. When I have left over paint i use it the reverse of wheel hubs and the bearing calipers as ther areas manufactureres hardly ever paint these areas, obviously manufacturers think that because these areas are not readilly visible they can be left to rust, sad.

**Q: Will one kit be enough to cover all 4 large AMG Brembo brake callipers, they look similar to the first image - yellow calliper**
A: No I would have 2. I done BMW Z4 and there was only a bit left . Painting brembos are you mad !!!

A: Don’t know but mine are 2 months old and still looking great

A: I used half the paint after 2 coats on the 4 calipers (front larger than rear on my standard model) of my my BMW435d gran coupe. Good product but found you have to be careful fitting big wheels soon after to avoid scuffing the paint which doesnt fully harden for a while.

**Q: How long should it take to dry? Done 3 coats but it's quite tacky**
A: If this is the 2 component system then the paint will crosslink and harden quite quickly at normal temperatures. I waited 24 hours for second coat, it dried to a really good gloss. Only thing to watch out for is to use wheel hangers when replacing the wheel to avoid knocking the new caliper paint as it will take some time for the paint to fully harden.

Have been using Foliatec's 2 part caliper paint since the 1990s and is by far the best such paint. When cured it is unaffected by cleaning solvents, and easilly lasts 7+ years, and keeps calipers from looking like neglected things of rust. I remove the calipers and mounting brackets and paint both, 2 coats, and the job is a good one. When I have left over paint i use it the reverse of wheel hubs and the bearing calipers as ther areas manufactureres hardly ever paint these areas, obviously manufacturers think that because these areas are not readilly visible they can be left to rust, sad.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Decent for Brushing On

For a paint you have to paint on, it’s pretty decent. I tried both the painting and dabbing technique. It’s quite easy to over apply and seems to self level quite well. These were about 3 coats, one started with quite heavy brush strokes, the other with light dabbing. Dries nicely with a nice hard lacquer effect which seems nice and durable with a nice shine. Would be interesting to see if it works being sprayed on with a compressor.
