As usual an excellent story line from Anne.Unusual setting in amongst a group of people who you would never associate with Murder. Really enjoyed all the twists and turns and links betweenthe States and Britain. Very cleverly thought out. Thank you for a brilliant read.

Not and taxing tale. Easy on the brain. Okay by the pool but not sufficiently engaging for a long English winter's night Well written.

I must admit I was sceptical when I first picked this up but when I saw it had been written by Ann Cleeves I thought why not and I’m glad I did. I thoroughly enjoyed the novel and will certainly be on the lookout for the remainder of the series.

Familiar themes: birdwatching; reunions agreed in the distant past; and, of course, murder!George goes out to the upper Texas coast to help an old bird watching friend who is a person of interest in a murder inquiry, while Molly does background research back home in Blighty.A tad slow but well written and holds the interest throughout.

Highly recommend, love Anne Cleeves books.

OK, but didn't feel it was up to her Vera or Shetland.

A Ma and Pa British “detective agency” take on a possible UK fraud case and a seemingly linked USA murder. Well plotted and despite the physical distance of the two events, the telephone contact draws the action together. Anne Cleeves seldom disappoints.

This is a great book! One of the George and Molly books. An interesting plot, interesting people, a good read. These books might even turn me into a bird watcher. Wish there were more in this series,

Excellent read right up to the last page . I had absolutely no idea that the outcome was going to be such a perfect ending.

I adore Ann Cleeves, I enjoy her story telling and her characters. I have not been disappointed by any of her books.
