Excellent product for testing chemicals in my hot tub and giving correct reading without using hard to read test strips.

The ph and alk readings are spot on. The problem is the dpd tablet. It keeps saying the bromine level is sky high yet my hottub strips say its in the 4-5 range.I tested the tap water with the dpd tablet and it reckons it was 4 parts which is impossible as the local tap Water is 0.5

This Palintest is a decent step up for for those that want to step up from home test strips.The kit is easy to use. As a Bromine user, I choose the Bromine kit. You still use DPD1 tablets, but the crucial difference is that the colour chart will reflect Bromine ppm values, rather than Chlorine - so you'll need to select the correct kit, according to the disinfectant you use.The process is simple. Dip the cell into the water, and put a reagent tablet in a cell according to what you're testing. It is crucial that you don't touch any of the tablets with your fingers, as this will give you false results- harder than you think!Next, replace the lid (again, don't cover the cell with your finger to shake) shake it all up until the tablet dissolves, and the result will be ready to read after 30 seconds.It helps to have read a bit about these kits, or watch a YouTube video prior to using, as the instructions are very basic - beginners will probably struggle.Overall, a good accurate kit. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
