Amazing FRESH Taste!!! Brunswick Wild Caught Gourmet Brisling Sardines in Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Mediterranean Style with Black Olives, Herbs and Spices, 4.23 oz Can was a refreshing surprise!!! Accustomed to truly liking one brand of Sardines, I decided to try something new and overjoyed I did! They arrive with a clear plastic seal that is revealed when the overlaying cardboard wrapper is removed. This enables one to view just how fresh the fish is and see precisely what you’re getting. While this has many benefits, I do prefer the peel back tin, as a plastic wrapper becoming pierced, during handling or shipping, could occur. So, the peel-back tin feels safer. This and the round container are the only minor drawbacks— had I used a spoon, instead of a fork, there may have been less drainage. Scooping out the last contents and oil took a bit more work, but, unlike the other brand, I licked the can clean, like a cat! These sardines are fresh, perfectly tender and absolutely delicious! Love them!! Would I suggest purchasing them?? Most definitely yes! The balance of tastes, olive oil, black olives, herbs and brisling sardines is wonderful. Buy it. Eat them. Enjoy them!!

These are very delicious. However I cancelled an upcoming order because the case I currently have was a problem, and I thought they were selling bad products. HOWEVER. I did some research, and decided to do an experiment. The problem was the sardines were dry, and tasted off. I tried storing the cans with the top plastic covering facing down. This allowed the top sardines to be soaked in the oil and maintain the flavor. So if you noticed this dry issue at the top of your sardines just store them with the plastic top facing down. For some reason the bottom sardines were fine. The top ones dried out.

Excellent Brisling Sardines for a reasonable price. Great mild flavor, great texture, firm but tender. Not mushy at all. I questioned the clear, attractive packaging, thinking it would limit the expiration date, but it works. I wouldn't store these in a hot or sunny place. If you like sardines, these are a must-try. Recommended.

I'll admit to not being the biggest fan of sardines. But I did appreciate these. The flavor is good and the fish hold together well.

These are the best sardines I have ever tasted. They are so fresh and full of flavor. There are two layers filled with tiny sardines and topped with black olives and some heat. Not overly hot just enough to add an extra umami to thes wonderful fish. I wish they were abit more affordable but given they are so yummy I am willing to pay the price for such a great protein snack full of nutrients and deliciousness. Also the clear plastic lid is so easy to peel off as opposed to the other types of cans and with my arthritic hands it is easy for me to open You will not be disappointed if you enjoy great tasting sardines

It took a long month for these sardines to arrive, but they were worth it. Very delicate and tasty. Only need to sprinkle some lemon juice on top to taste it to perfection. I'm down to 9 by now and don't want to finish them for now with the obvious shortage. But, Pick'em up where ever you find them.

I so wanted to love these. I usually love everything from Brunswick. These are by no means awful but it's the texture that is too mushy...not sure why these are so mushy? The flavor profile is nice so I can still use these in fish cakes but eating out of the can is just no bueno.

My favorite is to take the sardines cut them off real small and make like a pate. So I take sourdough bread toast it and butter it but before that you make the pate, cut off the fish real small and in a pinch of salt two pinches of garlic powder or granulated garlic pepper and get some Capers put them in a bowl and smash them and then cut them up then add fresh lemon juice and it's out of this world good. These bristling sardines have a ton of protein, vitamin d, iron and essential good fats it's worth the price if you buy the 12 pack it got down to $2.90 per can with the 12 pack option one can is like a meal to me and I weigh 200 lb as a man
