I can’t keep my BirdBuddy full with how much they enjoy it. My most frequent visitors—mourning doves, cardinals, house finches, eastern bluebirds, chickadees, pigeons, robins, and goldfinches—love this stuff. I go through a bag at least once a week for my single feeder. I love that it also attracts birds I never even normally see in our crowded suburban neighborhood—especially during peak breeding or migratory seasons. I use this one year-round as my birds seem to prefer it over more basic seed mixes. I believe that tells us something, doesn't it? They don't tell you what you're buying. "Pig in a poke", n'est pas? Buyer beware. I've been buying the wrong kind of birdseed and notice that the birds kick most of it out on the ground. And don't tell me that these seeds have been made so that it doesn't bloom. I've gotten some lovely sunflowers from them. Nicer than some I've planted on purpose. LOL! And, by the way....the "cherry" in the mix is actually "cherry oil". They add that for "flavor". Funny, because birds can't smell or taste. **Q: What are the ingredients? Like what nuts and fruits (ie raisins, cranberries, walnuts, peanuts etc)??** A: I just had to search the internet because even Wagner’s website didn’t list this, but Chewy did. Peanut pieces, sunflower chips, tree nuts, raisins and cherries; they were listed in that order. **Q: What, specifically, is the content of the nut & fruit wild bird blend? type of fruit? type of nuts? ratio of fruit to nut? or listing of % of each** A: I do not know the specific ratio. What I do know is it seems to be primarily nuts and fruit, which has attracted many more types of wild birds this season. It has also upped the squirrel game considerably. It is high quality and I will purchase again. **Q: Is this 100% shell free?** A: Yes it is shell free. I can not keep this in stock at home. My birds just love it. It is my favorite type of food. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Best Birdseed! *by V***V on 19 April 2026* My backyard birds LOVE this seed! I MIX IT WITH AN AUDUBON VARIETY TO GIVE MORE NUTS TO 3 YOUNG SQUIRRELS. I'VE ALSO ADDED MORE SUNFLOWER SEED CHIPS. NO MESS SEEDS ARE A BIT MORE EXPENSIVE BUT IN THIS SUPER FRIGID OHIO NORTH COAST WEATHER (LORAIN COUNTY), MANY BIRDS COME AT A TIME TO MY FEEDING TABLE AND THEY NEED TO EAT QUICKLY. WAGNER'S DOESN'T HAVE CORN PIECES. NOTHING ENJOYING THE FEED TABLE EATS CORN. THERE'S A MESS OF CORN BITS ALL OVER THE DEEP SNOW PILES AND DRIVEWAY. THERE IS 1 YOUNG MALE JUNCO WHO GUARDS THE TABLE AND WON'T LET OTHERS FEED. WE SPREAD THE FOODS AROUND SO ALL CRITTERS HAVE ACCESS TO IT. STARLINGS BARGING IN MAKE A MESS SCATTERING SEEDS/NUTS TO THE GROUND BUT THOSE GROUNDED BITS ALLOW FOR SMALLER BIRDS TO SNATCH THEM UP. *** WARNING: NEVER FEED WILDLIFE SALTED SEEDS OR FOODS! I'VE SEEN SEVERAL REVIEWS FROM BUYERS STATING THEY DO. LOOK FOR BLANCHED NUTS AND HEAT TREATED NO GROW SEEDS. YOU CAN BUY SPICEY SEASONINGS TO ADD TO SEEDS. I ONCE PUT OUT SOME STALE SPICEY CHEESE CRACKERS. OH MY THE NEIGHBORHOOD SPARROWS CAME AND HAD A FEAST! THE RACKET THEY MADE, ENJOYING THE FLAVORS AND WIPING THEIR BEAKS ON THE METAL FENCE RAILS.... I WOULDN'T PUT THOSE OUT WHEN'S THERE'S NO FRESH WATER AVAILABLE. I WITNESSED JUNCOS LEARNING TO EAT PEANUTS BY WATCHING SPARROWS BREAK NUTS APPART.
