WiFi Refrigerator Thermometer 1-Pack with Gateway & LCD Display

My freezer is in the laundry room where the cats eat and sleep. I also have a preteen that doesn’t always pay attention. My freezer was left open for over 24 hours once and the plug was also knocked out for at least 2 days so needless to say, i was tired of throwing food away. I bought this thermometer specifically so i would get the alert if the freezer got too warm for too long. This works like a charm. I like that you can adjust your alerts settings based on your preference and the alert goes right to your phone. It was easy to set up. I already had the hub for a ton of other Govee items in my home so it was easy to connect and get working instantly. I have had it for about a year without and issues or the battery running low (it will let you know when it’s running low). It’s very reliable and has given me a huge peace of mind. If you need it, you can also look at the history of the temperature which i could see would be helpful for some circumstances. I’d definitely get this same model again if i were to need it. I also like the company. I’ve never been disappointed with my Govee products.

Govee fridge thermometer works great. I had issues with my fridge compressor keeping the fridge cold enough. All my food went bad. I got the compressor replaced and added this Govee thermometer to keep an eye on the temperature without having to open the door to look at a thermometer inside the fridge. I loved it so much i bought a 2nd one for my motorhome fridge. Which is a great help for when we are traveling longer distances. I can ensure our food is staying below 40 degrees. Before I only had the thermometer that stays inside the fridge. But the problem is having to open the door to look at the temperature. This just kets out more cold air. I highly recommend Govee.

I've used Govee before, and I've thought it was good, so I decided to give this a shot despite the 1 stars. I set it up and it works great. There's one thing you should know. I have an Android and the default notification profile for the alerts was SILENT for me. I had to go into the app's notification settings => other => warning, and change it off silent/set up a loud sound, and override do not disturb. It also has a "email me" option too which I enable as a backup strategy. It's already more than paid for itself when I got an alert. My 3 year old managed to open the freezer and left it open trying to get a popsicle. I haven't had the other problems with ice buildup as other' have. Maybe that's depends on your freezer (I put the wire on the hinge side, maybe that helps?). I'll admit that setup wasn't the easiest, but it's been good since. Also it helped me dial in my freezer (I learned it was running a little warm). Looks great too.

This finally got put to the ultimate test when a bad storm came through and knocked the power out. The app was notified immediately when the temperature dropped below the set temp we had it. Definitely gives you peace of mind knowing your deep freeze is working properly and efficiently. easy to set up and connect to your phone through an app. there is a temperature probe that just drops into your freezer, plug it into the wall and that's it!

Have used the thermometer as directed for over 3 weeks. The temperature readings on the display are all over the place. -22 degrees to 1 degree all while the freezer has not been opened and is constantly powered. The app history is more reasonable (-8 degrees to 0.4 degrees) but even that is not within the mechanical thermometer's readings which register -2, -1. This is a waste of money. Don't see how some folks say it's fine unless they got lucky with their unit. Will try to return since within the return window but I no longer have the box it came in. Not sure other such wireless thermometers are any better after reading the reviews. It is a good thing to have an alarm when the temperature inside the freezer goes higher than a set level but finding such a device is a challenge. Wish the freezer had a built-in alarm. **** UPDATE **** Amazon, as always was true to their word to allow return of the defective product within the return period. More importantly, I failed to originally post the amount of ice build up around the freezer's lip where the "flat" cable passed under the rubber seal. Obviously air was flowing between the inside and outside of the freezer which caused ice to build up. It's amazing how much ice formed on the lip within 3 weeks. About 1/8" and likely to grow if given time. This is not a good thing to happen on a freezer which requires the cold air to stay away from outside air contact. I purchased a different probe via Amazon which does not require a cable to an outside box. The YoLink Smart Wireless Thermometer. The probe stays within the freezer without the need for an outside wire/cable. All truly wireless. I already have the YoLink hub for the water sensors thus adding this thermometer was easy and fit with the monitoring system. I was not aware YoLink made a freezer/refrigerator sensor. More importantly, the new probe works and for a fraction of this product's price.

Works exactly as advertised. The app needs some help. When trying to get the gateway to connect to your WiFi, you cannot search for the current WiFi, you have to type it in or paste it in the app. I had to figure that out the hard way. Once you get the gateway setup, you can easily add the remote thermometer quickly. Monitoring the temperature remotely, through the app is easy and the data is stored and displayed in a graph

Reads accurately connect to the app and send me notifications when the freezer goes above my preset temperatures. The connection is pretty solid. I’ve had it for a few years, and I have only had to change the batteries once. Set up was easy with the Govee app.

This thing just works. I love the design and the ease of set up. It is built well and look forward to using this thing to provide peace of mind with my deep freezer.

This GoveeLife WiFi thermometer is exactly what I needed to keep a reliable eye on temperatures. Faites attention aux mauvaises évaluations c.a.d. 3 étoiles et moins. Je possède déjà plusieurs thermomètres/hygromètres de cette marque et j'utilise déjà l'application Govee sur iOS. Je n'ai eu aucun problèmes à configurer ce thermomètre de frigo. Ça se fait pratiquement tout seul en cliquant sur le + en haut à droite de l'app. Vous devez savoir que le thermomètre se branche en Bluetooth en premier et que vous devez aussi brancher la passerelle fournie pour vous donner un accès Wi-fi en dehors de la maison. Ce faisant, la passerelle a automatiquement détecté le thermomètre et tous mes autres qui étaient déjà installés. Concernant ceux qui mentionnent que le fil empêche la porte de fermer de façon étanche, là, je me questionne beaucoup, le fil est plat et mince comme une feuille de papier du moins, celui que j'ai reçu. Il est clair que je connaissait déjà l'environnement de l'application donc cela m'a donné une chance mais, si vous prenez le temps de lire les instructions (en français) vous n'aurez pas de problème. Sachez aussi que c'est mentionné dans la description du produit, que seuls les réseaux WiFi 2,4Ghz sont supportés. Si votre routeur ne le pousse pas, alors, vous devrez alors vous trouver un autre produit 5Ghz.

Great product. I have other thermostats and thermometers from them. They work great. Great quality!

Put this in my garage fridge, I like the app a lot and appreciate the false reading feature. I did notice that as the temperatures no doubt fluxuate, Sometimes the app shows a short lived difference of about 10 degrees. Not a dealbreaker as I set the sensor with a false reading range.
