This book is aimed at the complete novice. You are taught some great beginner freindly mushroom varieties that will grow easily and well. Then you are taught all the equipment and materials you will need to get started. There is adequate discussion of substrate and moisture, etc There is also how to complete your first harvest and then the book looks beyond that harvest. This is helpful in teaching overall health and maintenance of your crop. I learned a lot from this book.
