This is the book that caused me to write my then 87 year old father (who's now about to turn 102!) the letter that everyone wants to write their Dad while they still can. Magical storytelling of family ties born of both blood and life, with strong, amazing women and men of both the steady and charismatic variety. I don't think Lee got the credit she deserved for this book. I loved it.
