And it turns out, they make green paint for lawns! I bought a jug of this Lawn Star Grass Paint and a Chapin 20000 Poly Lawn and Garden Sprayer to spray it with. The first coat looked okay, but the second coat was what really blended it all in. Two thin coats work really well to cover brown areas. Thing to keep in mind. This is very watery paint, it will drip if you aren't careful. Take a flattened cardboard box with you to set your sprayer on while working with it or the sprayer may drip paint all over your driveway, sidewalk, patio, etc. I just used the desertcart shipping box that came with my sprayer. Also if you're spraying right up next to something like a sidewalk or driveway you'll want something like a flattened box to hold up in front of the area that's not grass, or you might overspray some of the paint onto the driveway/sidewalk. Since watering has been cut back I turned to lawn painting after seeing a neighbor's lawn done. I started with the squeeze bottle and applied it to pet spots on the lawn--and BOOM! No more pet damage. Of course, the color is not an exact match, but neither are YELLOW SPOTS., or BROWN SPOTS! After a few days, your lawn just looks fantastic and you really don't see touch ups. Recently I bought the 32oz jug (which is actually teeny tiny; not what the picture looks like), but it still covers plenty of square footage since it is concentrated. Super easy to set up; I recommend a GOOD 2 gallon sprayer. Mix with 6-8oz of paint per 1 Gallon of water. Put on old clothes, gloves, try and apply when the wind is low, and have fun.
