This is a great hat. Made of good quality leather and with a reinforced brim so you can tweak it to suit. I used the picture showing the sizing to order the correct size and it fits perfectly. It did arrive in a thick paper bag and the rim looked a little offset when opened but this was easy to put right. I will be making much use of this over the winter to keep my hair dry and protect me from the wild. It has already been tested in the rain and passed with flying colours (for reasons I cant remember I now have to take the cat for a walk most evenings . . . Pesky critter).I went for the brown option and its a nice dark rich tone. The hat is extremely well made and I suspect will last a lifetime if looked after. . . . . . . And yes I am a dishevelled scruffy chap, but the hat is not

This leather top-hat is an extremely well-made millinery item. It feels a good quality hat that will last a lifetime, not a cheaply produced disposable costume piece. It’d certainly work really well for a Victorian steampunk style costume, but it is nice enough to wear outside of a cosplay setting, although it’s not something that’d suit everyone. Looking at the measurement guide I thought a medium would suit me best, but I think large would’ve been a better choice, as it is just a little closer-fitting than I’d prefer. However, a snug fit might be preferable to a loose fit.

Always wary of reviews by people who get the products free I still bought this and have to say its not anything like the pictures or reviews I've read here.The hat has hardly any curve at all, it has glue clearly visible in some places (although when its on your head most people wouldn't ever notice) and while the hat still looks good it looks more like a flat top hat as a result of the lack of pronounced curvature.It arrived with no protection at all and so maybe it simply got squashed on the way from Amazons warehouse.I shall have to see if there is some way to shape it myself, if you want a slightly curved Victorian looking hat its great but if you want what's in the pictures be aware it might not meet expectations.Or maybe I got a damaged one that had been flagged in transit, in which case if it had been in a box it may have been better.It does have some bumps, and also some small scratches, I wonder if it was damaged during packing or transit.I am unsure whether I will return it but its unlikely I will use it as it just isn't what I ordered.

It's a very nice looking hat. Materials feel good quality and no problems with stitching. The only problem that I have is that I measured my head, which was 60cm, so ordered the "Large" size. I however found this to be a bit tight. I think I should have gone for the next size up maybe but perhaps it will stretch and eventually fit snuggly.The hat itself, while looking a bit plain, will look great accessorised with various steam punk items (which is why I ordered it...slap a pair of goggles on there and it'll look great). Very good for the price just be careful with the sizes.

I love this hat! I am a bit of a hat freak, and am always on the lookout for well made, unusual hats, and this one is perfect. I also have difficulty getting the sizing right, as I have a small head, and the small size fits me perfectly. The hat is strong, sturdy, and leather, which is a real bonus as that makes it waterproof as well as stylish. It looks fabulous when worn, and it is easy to alter the brim and crown thanks to the flexible options. I really do love this hat, and will probably be wearing it, just for fun, on Christmas day. I will also be donning my new headwear outdoors, hopefully for many years to come!

This is sold as a costume hat, but actually it's really a proper well-made hat. This is something to wear as an item of clothing, not as a prop for halloween.Everything is well made, the stitching is good, the leather feels thick and hefty. There is an elasticated head band on the inside so it can cope with variation in head size, but the sizing feels spot on. I am 59cm circumference and the medium size is a snug fit just on the side of tightness, which matches the dimensions given perfectly.The brim is wired, so you can remold it to your preference, and the whole hat feels sturdy and robust.Great hat. Well made, looks good, tremendous value and should last well.

Love it,it arrived in a paper bag so expected it to look battered, it didn't. it looks exactly like the picture, it fits well.the leather is smooth and exceptional quality and it's built very well.it has an elasticated edge inside so will fit most heads, it's waterproof and for once i am not disappointed at all.a very happy 'buyer'
