Biscotti were beautiful and tasted very good. They were not too hard, and I liked that; because some biscotti are so hard, that you could break your teeth. This companies' customer service is excellent. This company completely backs their products, and they go out of their way to make each customer satisfied.

I have given these as gifts before, but never got any feedback from the receivers at all. You know how people usually say "oh thank you for the biscottis, they're so delicious"... nope, nada! So I decided to get a box for myself. I'm glad I did, because now I know never to gift these again. The 1 star is only for the presentation, but as far as flavor, they get zero stars! These are the most flavorless biscotti I've ever tasted. They taste like cardboard, dry and stale. Even the toppings can't hide the lack of flavor, and they're hard as a rock. Do not waste your money on these, and don't buy them as gifts; people will think you got them at the dollar store. Even cookies from the dollar store have more flavor than these. How disappointing!

I'm sorry I can't tell you about the freshness as I bought this as a gift for my mother. all I can say is she was very happy with the quality of the product. she's had many biscotti cookies in the past but this was her favorite and she asked if I could get it for her again so I will definitely be buying her more.
