Must have for chemo treatments
I purchased these for my mom who is undergoing chemo and radiation to try to prevent neuropathy. I heard about these particular mitts and socks by the PA that I work for. She absolutely loves them! If she doesn't wear socks on her feet and hands under them she says it does get a little too cold (which is amazing because we travel 2 hours to chemo and they stay cold).

A must if you are doing Chemo
These were recommended to me from my oncologist. These are great to use after Chemo. The quality of these are great. They are easy to use and get really cold. I have to use socks with these because they get a little to cold for me. I even bought the refill back so I can switch these out and have cold longer. Theses run a little large so I would order a smaller size. These have helped keep the neuropathy of getting bad. I have not had any trouble with the ice packs leaking. I also love the purple color.

Great
Nothing better on the market. Using for my best friend’s chemo treatment to prevent paresthesias. We find that the Velcro isn’t tight enough and did have to get additional Velcro to make the ice packs tighter against the fingers, but other than that, very effective!

When nurses recommend, listen.
Used these for the first time during my chemo. Staff loves them. Helped me put them on my feet. I did hands. I do recommend wearing a thin glove on your hands (like with feet having socks on). Its been days since. And I haven't had any progression of my neuropathy. I actually think it made it somewhat better.

Great ice booties/mitts to prevent/lessen neuropathy
Going thru chemo, I wore these ice booties/mitts weekly for an hour during the "bad" chemo treatment. (Not that any chemo is good for you...)By wearing these ice booties/mitts, it restricts the flow of blood into the capillaries (fingertips & toes). That then helps restrict the flow of chemo into those capillaries, preventing/lessening neuropathy.I suggest definitely wearing socks & thin cotton gloves. I dont have cotton gloves, so I just wore socks on my hands, too, to have a protective barrier from the extreme cold.Gel ice packs are easy to insert into the booties/mitts. Booties are easy to put on, as is 1st mitt. I always needed help putting on/fastening the 2nd mitt.Between weekly chemo treatments, I kept everything in the freezer together.

Great product
The product is easy to use. I freeze the packs and use during chemo to help prevent neuropathy in my hands and feet. So far I’ve not had any issues so it’s definitely helping!

Doesn’t stay cold for more than 20-30 mins
So many chemo patients are using these but they are complicated because of all the individual pieces that go in the freezer and they don’t stay cold very long which complicates it for a person who is getting an infusion that takes several hours and need to swap these out every 20-30 mins. So many buy multiple sets to swap out but then you have so many of these individual pieces and you don’t feel well having to go through all this and additionally these need to be put in a cooler and you have to figure out how to keep them cold for several hours during the infusion to swap them. Cooler is than very heavy. There needs to be a better design or option than this. I litterally dreaded having to get this all organized with all the pieces and sets! Icing the hands and feet during chemo has helped many prevent neuropathy. It would be easier for people if it was just a bootie and glove to put in freezer because when at the cancer center the staff starts to take everything apart and they get confused. Pieces get lost from them bringing them to the freezer sometimes. There has to be a better option for sick people getting chemo to ice their hands and feet.
