I bought these mainly for childproofing and added peace of mind, and have been really happy with them. They do exactly what is advertised. Super simple to install, they have a 3m peel-and-stick back that is pretty strong. No tools or drilling required, which is nice if you're renting or don't want to damage your door. You can get these installed in under 5 minutes, and because we are using them for child proofing I put mine up high so little hands can't reach them. Once installed, it has done exactly what it's supposed to - limits how far the sliding door can open. This has been great for keeping our toddler inside (especially nice with a pool in the back yard). However, it can also be useful for pets that like to nose open sliders, or secondary security at night. To use, all you do is push the locking mechanism up to slide the door open, or pull it down to lock in place. It's low profile and clear, so most people don't even notice it's there unless really looking for it. Fit's great and we have enough clearance for the door to slide open and closed without issue. Couple things to keep in mind: I wouldn't use these in place of a main door lock, as they are not high security. You will also want to make sure your surface is cleaned well before installing so you don't emphasize fingerprints and it sticks strong and sturdy. If you're looking for an easy, affordable, and no drill way to child proof a sliding door, this one has worked great for us.

These worked great on one of our sliding doors. The clear plastic isn't super noticeable which is nice. They are easy to manipulate as an average sized adult, but it hinders my baby and toddler from escaping. However, these didn’t work on another sliding door we have that had less of a gap because the door could not slide over the opened lock.

Easy to apply, works great. I'd inserted a pet door into my sliding glass door and needed an alternative for locking the sliding door. This works perfectly.

I really like the idea, made slider stick when open and closing. I need my slider adjusted, I tried myself but could not get it just right. These are a great product if door opens and closes without getting in the way..

ok was a skeptic BUT its the real deal. This 3M adhesive is no joke. Exceeded my expectations. Be mindful to clean the glass, (the item has a bit of thickness) make sure it will not prohibit the door from sliding when not in use. Easy to use flip it up and flip it down that easy. Dont place it too high on the top (like i did) this causes me to pry it down because i did not leave enough room from the top to easily access otherwise a great quick fix for toddler safety and allowing the fur babies to run in and out without having the door open more than it has to. For adult safety gives an extra layer of protection if someone is trying to enter because this thing does NOT budge. Love it and 2 for the price a definite winner! Think i will place one on the bottom and provide another level of access

I love how easy it is to install without damage to the door frame, no drilling, no holes. The biggest down fall is it catches and gets hung up on the door when trying to close the door after opening. We fold it down flat to the unlock position and can slide the door open no problem, but it catches every time we close the door. It very annoying as you can't easily close to door, but it does keep the door from opening when put in the locked position and helps the kiddo from getting out unsupervised or letting the pets out.

Works great on our patio door. Easy to use and the size is small. Fits really nice.

Definitely has given me peace of mind. Adhesive is great and prevents my toddler from opening our patio door. Must buy!

Love these you can put them up high so the little ones can't reach them when you flip it down the window won't open and I have it on my patio door cuz my little escape artist it's figured out how to open the other two security latches that I have on there this one he can't read they're also great if you have a terminally ill family member it's not a lot of medications and get a little confused they really don't see it up there so it's kind of holds them into all around it's a really great item
