My job can sometimes involve intricate soldering of XLR and DMX connections.My old iron stopped working and I took a gamble on this one. With it being so cheap.It’s brilliant, temperature setting and storing. Simple to use and comes with solder, a holder and a selection of heads.Does the job perfectly.

Heats up fast and gets very very hot , melts solder instantly, I’ve been using it for guitar repairs , the highest setting is a bit too hot for that job but nice to have the option, my only gripe is the stand supplied with it , it’s garbage, so get yourself a decent stand , other than that the actual tool is very good especially for the price, has a nice lcd display showing temperature which can be adjusted using the buttons,, very good

For the price, it's great. Easy to use and heats up very quickly. Unfortunately you wont be able to use it for all jobs because it lacks thermal mass or the ability to maintain temperature in demanding situations. If you try to desolder components attached to a large ground plane, you're going to be disappointed.

What a great buy this was . I was expecting something mediocre but i think this is great !It has a really clear display that counts up the temperature really quickly, it feels nice in the hand and it gets really hot really quickly !So much better than my other budget one that i got in a set from here too that doesnt get hot anymore nowAbsolute steal for £12 i would buy it again in a heartbeat !

Perfect for fixing my DEWALT batteries.The soldering iron is super user friendly with the LCD display you can easily set your temperature target and see it adjusting so you know when it’s ready to use.It gets to temperature within seconds! I tend to set it at 350 and have no issues at all. I managed to solder a small amount inside a battery to repair and it’s now been 5 days and the battery has been in use 10 hours a day and had no issues at all after the repair so very happy.The stand for the iron is very small and quite flimsy which is the only disappointing part and the cleaning sponge will probably last 1 session 2 at the most so will have to invest in a better one.

Works well. Not sure if the temperature is accurate, I think its more of a power setting than tenperature but seems stable. Would recommend. Nice variety of accessories.

I needed a cheap soldering iron for a fix on my guitar and wasn’t expecting much as cheap soldering irons I have not been up to much. This heated up quickly and did the job well given its budget price tag. The only downfall was the included stand is not up to much so it would better to purchase a stand as a flyaway iron is not a good thing.There are various tips and very small tip sponge. As I have only used this item once so far I can’t comment on its long term durability but for the hobbies light user this does the trick.
