Ernie Ball Primo Slinky Cobalt Electric Guitar Strings 9.5-44 Gauge

A lot louder than the rotosound or elixer. Took an extra few days to get used to, they're cobalt so something new that's going to need breaking in longer. I would probably go back to elixer for smoothness and ease of play . They're a bit tougher to play but they're definitely worth a try.

I've tried every brand of string, known to man and settled on Ernie Ball Slinkys for years. I tried some Cobalt strings a year ago and haven't used anything else since. They're even better than Slinkys. I prefer the feel of the wound strings. The wound strings sound a bit fuller and whilst marginal, they seem to last a bit longer. The unwound strings are the same as you get in Slinkys. Well worth the extra £2 or so.

I’m not too experienced in choosing new guitar strings but I thought I’d give these a go. They are really bright and loud and i definitely can hear and feel a difference. I took a risk and used them on stage at a gig and they performed perfectly and I didn’t even need to ‘break them in’. I tend to play lots of genres but more focused on metal and these strings are perfect. Definitely recommend them 👍.

Best sounding strings I've used for a long time. Not sure how long they will last till they maybe dull in tone since I only put them on last week but so far really great.

I have an Epiphone Wildkat, a Les Paul shaped semihollow guitar fitted with a pair of p90 pickups and a Bigsby. After I'd put these strings on there was a very noticeable difference in the acoustic tone, quite a bit brighter, less dead sounding and louder. Electrically it sounded different too. Fuller and with a little more agressive snarl when driven. I like the sound and feel of this set and will probably replace them with the same when needed.

I fitted these to my Les Paul gold top . Super smooth to play and they sound great. Well worth the little extra cost ..👍

I’ve been a guitarist since 1979 , ive been through A LOT of guitar strings. I put a set of these onto a cobra blue Ultra stratocaster HSS and they performed ( are still performing) FLAWLESSLY! Serious bends when playing leads don’t break them , they sound & feel fantastic, keep perfect tuning well and seem to last a very very long time with Awesome Harmonics . Also if 10s are a little thick but 9s are TOO thin , these 9.5s may be exactly perfect for you . I’ll definitely be getting more of these cobalt slinkys in 9.5-44
