This set of 6 lights allows both sides of the stairs to be lit with 3 or fewer steps or one side with more steps. Ours have 2 steps so we put a set before the first step. The lights give a welcoming glow to our entrance and keeps visitors safe from tripping. They turn on reliably at dusk and most times they are still on if we wake up before dawn. This is not a motion sensor light. Once the light switch is turned on from the side, they turn on all night until morning or the battery dies. They offer several ways to mount each light including a keyhole screw on the back or bottom, side mount attachment and double sided adhesive strips. They also work great without mounting them. We did not mount them since we will move them to our back deck when the snow melts. These are a very welcoming addition that our visitors enjoy.

They seemed small when I took them out of the box but the size is just right to throw enough light to cover half of each step. I use 1 on alternate sides of each step. These are my first solar step lights and are working as I expected. The steps are exposed to the sun until late afternoon which has been enough to fully charge them. I have checked and they turn on automatically at dusk and stay lit through most of the night for up to 6 hours before fading. You can use 2 sided tape or screws to hold them in place. I decided to use the included screws since being outside in the sun I knew the tape would not last. They are waterproof which was my other concern since rain and snow would wear out the tape. I have had them installed for 2 weeks now and so far so good. I think a good decision since at night the stairway is quite dark and it's easy to trip on the first few steps.

Small and out of the way, but give just enough light to provide a visual cue that there is a step there and to be careful.This time of year, we have a lot of delivery drivers dropping off packages of all sorts, and it is nice for them to not feel like everywhere they go is a dark cave, especially on other people's property they aren't familiar with. If this makes one driver feel a little more comfortable, or keeps my elderly father from tripping, then it was worth it to put them down.They come with hardware, solid industrial double-sided tape, and spacers. The lights have a simple push button to turn them on. When that is pushed in, they will charge during the day and when it gets dark enough they will come on by themselves when they sense the lack of light.These aren't going to light up an area brightly, but will add that little bit of safety to stairs that you like to have in slippery, dark conditions.

These lights are such a pleasure, they do a great job at lighting up my steps that I’ve recommended them to my neighbors and entire family.Being that they’re solar powered takes the worry out of installing and maintenance. Definitely a must-have for anyone needing a little more light or even as some added stylish decoration.

These lights reduce electricity costs by absorbing solar energy during the day and shining brightly at night.You need to make sure that the placement of your units gets enough sunlight, otherwise the lights don't last through the night. The batteries could be better, but then again, it is winter time and there's less sunlight to charge up the units. We'll have to see if it performs better during the summer.

Review for Solar Stair Lights Outdoor Step Lights IP67 Waterproof Warm White.I had previously tried another type of solar light to light up my front porch steps, but they only wound up blinding me, resulting in a fall.These lights are just enough to light up the step, with the light directed toward the step (instead of upward). Also, these lights are triangular shaped, which lets you put them in the corner (where the step meets the riser). While you can attach the lights to the steps (with the provided tape or screws), if you have brick steps, you can simply place them at each side of the steps.These make a nice safety addition to porch steps.

I absolutely love these to light the dark path up to my front door. We have a very long front porch/patio area that is not well illuminated so this helps with late night deliveries so the drivers can see more clearly where they are walking. I love that they are solar so I don't have to replace batteries. The triangular shape keeps them tucked up against the wall and out of the pathway.

Even after fully charging there is barely any illumination.
