A very cute virtual pet that takes it to the next step
When I saw a review of this appearing on YouTube randomly one day, it brought me back to my childhood when I used to play with virtual pets as a kid, except you couldn't touch the screen at the time. This takes it up a notch. It's a very cute toy that lets you take care up to 15 pets but I do kinda wish it'd take you time to level them up because when I first started playing with this it took less than 30 minutes-1 hour to get everyone leveled up. I haven't gotten bored of taking care of my pets though yet but do wish it wasn't too easy to level them all up.I do like the technology that it uses too. It looks like a hologram but you can touch it from the top unlike other virtual pets I used to own when I was a kid in the 2000s. I understand that it does flicker and the motor can be a little annoying at first but I gotten used to it and understand it's not the technology's fault.I'm not sensitive to flashing lights which isn't too bad but I'd be careful if you do buy this toy if you're sensitive to flashing lights or just avoid it for safety reasons.I think all the animals are very adorable and love the mercat the most. I just don't understand why in the instruction list it gives you a rarity scale for each pet when in reality, it's easy to get them all. I originally thought it meant you might not get every pet in the checklist but found out that those are the 15 pets you can get and it's pretty easy to get them too. Doesn't bother me much but why does it need a rarity scale when it's easy to get all the rares and legendaries over time? Plus some of the animals do make the same sounds as some other pets but it doesn't bother me much.Games are pretty easy to do. Simple but fun to play with. Sometimes the shaking won't recognize and you have to be quick enough but overtime I got it.Battery life is supposed to be up to 5 hours or so but battery life is still pretty great after playing for two days along with taking breaks over time. I would definitely recommend taking breaks often from the flashing lights and to also save battery life.Touching the screen and the touch bar is pretty easy to use. Just be gentle to it and don't mess with the screen. Don't poke the front of it, pinch the top, etc. Just a light tap on the top.As for starting your Bitzee, I do like the dog so much but I wish for each pod you buy or if you decide to restart your Bitzee, it'd give you a different pet instead the same animal. Not a huge deal but it'd have been cool if I gotten someone different first than a dog for each new Bitzee podFor future releases if this becomes popular enough, I'd love to see more pets in a series two pod or maybe if they decide to make new Bitzees from licenced stuff like Pokemon or Disney. I'd love to see that happen. I'd also love to see like more fantasy pets like dragons or sea monsters. I'd love to see this become popular especially for the holiday season this year since alot of people are saying this will become the hottest toy of the season which I do believe that.Overall I love this toy so much. Very much reminds me of my childhood owning toys that lets you take care of a animal or like a tomgatchi, but this time you can touch it. I know this is marketed towards kids obviously but I think adults will enjoy this too I feel like especially those who love to fidget with things and distract themselves like I do. I'm wheelchair bound and love to fidget with things. I'd consider this a fidget toy but kids do need to be careful with playing with the screen or not dropping it. Hopefully overtime the flexible screen won't be damaged overtime or the motor because I did read concerns about it but I think it'll be fine if you're careful with it. I'd love to see more series of Bitzees in the future ☺️Thank you for reading

Adorable, Engaging, and Kid-Approved!
The Bitzee digital pet has been such a fun and interactive toy for my child! It’s like a mix between a virtual pet and a real one—super cute and packed with personality. My child loves feeding it, playing games, and unlocking new pet forms as it grows. The sound effects and movements keep kids entertained without being too loud or annoying. It’s also small enough to take on the go, which is perfect for road trips or quiet playtime. If your kid enjoys caring for pets and loves screen-free fun, this is a great choice. We’ve had it for a few weeks, and it’s still a daily favorite!

Next generation Tamagotchi
We got it as a gift for a child (a 7 year old) - she saw her friend playing with it and could not get it out of her head since then. When watching the promotion videos and reviews, it is pretty clear that this is something very akin to a modern Tamagotchi - very few "buttons" can feed/pet/shake your pet and evolve them over time. The "buttons" here are pretty novel - you can swipe, touch and press, and its is haptically very pleasing. The display is a flapping LED strip - and surprisingly sturdy. It seems to have been properly tested against touching or probing it more enthusiastically. The overall display is very low resolution (think of about maybe 30 "pixels" in each dimension), but very legible due to the LED brightness. Overall a pretty decent looking effect! The gameplay itself is pretty creative - borrowing lots of elements from the original Tamagotchi, but adding lots of more interactive twists. You will be in for a surprise, so I won't spoil it here. Overall, the game continues with multiple pets and achievements. All in all an entertaining system without a real "display", no worries about misuse (think about a smartphone in comparison), and pretty robustly built (think of a clamshell). The battery replacements only require AAA batteries, so it is truly old-school - no USB charging of an internal battery, which I found a bit of a downside. However, I am very happy and very surprised about its overall build quality - fitting for a proper toy.

Stole the show on Christmas!
My 8 year old loves this thing so much that she hasn't put it down since she got it. It was the star of the show for Christmas and I got so many hugs for getting it for her. This is basically the modern take on the old school Tamagotchi's, but it has a fluttering led bar that zips up and down at an extremely high rate of speed to mimic the appearance of an actual digital pet floating in midair. Seems weird at first, but that fluttering light bar also allows you to feel like you are really touching the animal, very cool in action. Also, the light bar seems flimsy at first and I was scared it would break, but it is apparently very well made because we have had no issues with it breaking, cracking or distorting (and my kid is pretty hard on her toys, unfortunately)There are about 20 different pets that you can collect within every Bitzee, that you can interact with, take care of and also play digital games with. At first I thought each Bitzee hardware had its own unique pet, but every one actually includes all of them...just have to put in a little work to unlock all of them; which adds an almost RPG element to the hardware as you can unlock and then level them up and evolve them via playing with it, feeding it, showing it love, etc., my daughter is obsessed with trying to find and unlock all of them!A coworker of mine saw this when I originally bought it and got decided to get one for her kid. Just as I expected, that was the star of their Christmas as well. If you are a parent looking for the perfect gift for a 5-10 year old child, then do yourself a favor and grab one of these, you will not regret it! Really awesome toy for a very reasonable price.
