Honestly, this is the perfect suitcase and I can’t imagine a better design. First - it’s beautiful and looks very high end. Second, the outer case is sturdy, durable molded plastic with a texture that hides scratches. The wide handle is sturdy and makes it easy to maneuver, while solving the annoying problem of interior channels that take up half of your suitcase space! The wheels are smooth and well-functional, and the top- opening feature again improves your packing space. It also has a clever zipper divider (which keeps everything from rolling out when opened). This feature comes in extra handy when the laptop compartment is opened and accessed on-the-go. This is a truly awesome design, and I have gotten so many compliments! It measures slightly bigger than an EU carryon, but still fits overhead, and I haven’t had anyone give me trouble (yet). Plus, I can fit so much more inside this than my old (equivalent size) carry-on!

Love this Hanke luggage, front open design is perfect, wide handle allows for easier packing. The wheel casters roll really well, the front storage is great and the color is beautiful. I love everything about it. Worth every penny!

This is a great carry on! Just spent 2 weeks all over Europe touring the Christmas markets and this thing didn’t miss a beat. It took cobblestones, luggage lockers and train stairs like a champ. I like the deep trunk style to carry the ornaments without crushing them. The front open was perfect for the small European hotel rooms - we could have both suitcases on the stand and open at the same time. The wide handle is nice to give just a little more room inside too. The handle was strong enough that I could lift the suitcase with my personal bag on top of it up and down train station stairs many, many times with no issues. The wheels held up to the cobblestones and bouncing over the streetcar tracks. I am very very happy with this purchase!

I purchased the 24-inch version of this luggage. Overall, the build quality is good, but I was genuinely shocked by how small the capacity is. As you can see from the attached photo, the main compartment was already full after packing just two clothing bundles. When compared side-by-side with my other 25-inch suitcase, this 24-inch model is 1.75 kg heavier and has, at best, two-thirds the usable capacity—a significant difference. I had read other reviews mentioning this suitcase was small, but I assumed they were referring to the 20-inch carry-on size. Now I understand they meant the larger models as well; it truly is tiny. The front-opening design is a unique feature, but I believe it would be much more practical for a carry-on size (20-inch), especially when you need to access your laptop and accessories in the airport lounge or gate area—it's certainly much more convenient than a traditional shell luggage design for those quick access needs. My main functional complaint is the dual zipper system. After unzipping the outer compartment, you have to unzip a second, smaller-handled zipper to access the main area. This two-step process is awkward and inconvenient to use, especially when trying to quickly access items. However, I should mention that some people will likely appreciate its simple, streamlined aesthetic. I hope this detailed comparison helps future buyers avoid my surprise regarding the size and capacity.

The wide handle gives the bag so much more room in the 24" medium by having the handle retract into the corners. It being the non clam style cover style opening only magnifies this. Wheels are smooth, and roll true along with exuding of being of quality. While the handle being so wide gives extra room it prevents it from having a smaller bag slide onto the handle. I think it would be an improvement to have a smaller post or set of posts attached to the large handle in the middle that could be opened and closed to attach a bag through the riding bags' sleeve but flexible in structure to hide in face of the case where the handle slides out of. It just needs to keep bag secure to the top of the case and should not infinge on space inside much if at all if engineered right. 4.5 out of 5 so far, it's first test is going to be 21 day Panama Canal trip and it's going to be abused I think. I'll report back only if it under performs.
