For me, replacing the bulb itself for about $90 was worth the extra time it took to remove it from the housing. This is a simple process do to - just watch a couple youtube videos before hand and save yourself $150. This replacement bulb has performed identically to the one that came with my projector including color, brightness and contrast. The bulb itself looks identical and may be from the same OEM manufacturer. I installed this bulb back in October of 2024 so it has been about 5 months.
