Cant hate on it at all works much better than the old one i had. The only drawback is if the stickers are important to you mine were curling off the helmet. That is a non issue for me

Definitely a cheaper quality helmet. The decals arrived peeling off and the lens has a black spot on it. It's not bad, but anything over $30 is too much to spend on this helmet.

I am not paid for these reviews.I am an old-school stick-arc welder from way back. I still have my original welding helmet with VERY dark glass and NO special features. It worked pretty well, most of the time. I cultivated the habit of dropping it into place very quickly when I attempted to strike an arc, and that almost worked, almost all the time.Then I learned about auto-darkening helmets, and I got one. It worked much better than the older helmet, but eventually the battery/solar shield package will go bad. I was ready for something new!These things have come a long way! This Omolith Anti Fog Up True Color Welding Helmet with SIDE VIEW window panels is SUCH an upgrade! It is much lighter, and it comes with a very comfortable head-strap assembly to adjust to my perfect size. The auto-darkening feature works with a small battery, plus the "solar panel" on the top front above my eyes. That panel catches the "sun-like" intense light from my electric arc and darkens the eye shield in much less time than it takes me to blink my eyes.The solar panel settings are fully adjustable, with three little dials located inside the helmet on the BACK side of the solar panel. You pop the FRONT protective lens panel off to replace the lithium coin-cell battery when necessary.It is so much better than trying to guess and drop the helmet at exactly the right instant, or to guess and try to strike the arc while working in the relative darkness of your lens with an old-school helmet. You can see what you are doing from start to finish, with the helmet safely lowered to protect your face and your eyes at all times.One thing I do like about this helmet is that it features darkly shaded side panels for peripheral vision. That can be so very helpful when working on a welding job. Just be sure you do not turn your head and catch a glimpse of the too-bright arc glare out of the corner of your eye. That kinda defeats the purpose of the welding helmet, you know.This welding helmet comes with a spare lithium battery that maintains a charge in the system, plus two spare plastic lens covers for replacing the originals when they get pitted from spatter over time, or from scratches due to careless handling. I really do like this self-darkening welding helmet! I recommend it!
