I've been using my Aeropress (AP) exclusively for about 3 years. While the AP makes a great tasting cup of coffee, I had some concerns about using it. My main concern with it is the plastic. Every time I used it, I wondered if I was consuming microplastic so, I set out to look for another method for my morning cup. Since I'm the only coffee drinker in my house, I wanted something that I could brew a single, good sized cup. I finally decided that a pour-over was the way to go. I know there are many choices in this category. I chose this one for it's size (I bought the 20 oz). It doesn't take up much space and looks good on the counter. There is no plastic to come in contact with the coffee, and the decanter keeps most of the sediment out of my cup (adding a paper filter would clean it up completely). It's as easy to clean up as the AP. Just dump the used grounds in the trash, rinse the reusable Stainless Steel* filter and glass decanter and It's ready for next time. The quality of the glass seems good, albeit a little lightweight. I thought it would take longer to brew than my AP but it really doesn't. The coffee tastes great without having to use a timer, just pour 3-4 times. When it's done running through, you're ready to enjoy. *side note: one of the 1 star reviews said the filter is not Stainless Steel, it must be Aluminum because a magnet doesn't stick to it. A quick search will tell you that food-grade 304 Stainless is non-magnetic In summery, this makes a good tasting cup of coffee. it's quick, easy to use, and clean-up. It's lightweight, and there are no toxic parts to worry about, and yes, it's as easy (or easier) than my AP.

Are you looking for a coffee maker that's basically similar to the Chemex Coffee maker? This is it. It's lovely and in fact I like it better than the Chemex. The coffee filters fit this one as well as the Chemex Coffee Maker. It is very very nice. What I like most about it is the Price. Affordable. There is a slight delay in the pour brew going through the filter it is slow because the filter fits snug over the spout lip of it, but that's not a concern for me because I can just pinch it away a little and then it brews quickly. The Coffee taste is amazing. You will need a good coffee bean ground to enjoy the flavor as good as the Chemex maker. The weight is basically the same also. I like the quality of this as it is built very durable glass. Very easy. I noticed a review mentioned that it was difficult to wash because you have to remove the wooden sleeve that's around the jar, but that is with others as well. You just need to have energy and no concern about removing the wooden sleeve. It can be placed back on and yes it's time consuming to do that so I understand that issue. The taste of coffee is well worth it

This is a nice inexpensive chemex replacement. The glass feels strong and the angular shape is distinctive and the cork stopper genuinely keeps the coffee warmer for longer.

Actually tried it first with loose leaf tea because I'd bought some and my friend didn't have a teapot, but it worked great, the cork ball kept the pot warm for over 90 minutes while we chatted! Got it home later that night and tried grinding my own coffee for the first time, brewed it in here and it was one of the best cups I've made myself despite the ratios being all wrong. I just threw a handful of beans in the grinder to see what it'd do, and despite being weak, still noticeably better tasting than my drip machine. I'm certain I'll be able to dial it in within the next few uses. I do still like to line the stainless filter with paper ones, the stainless lets some fines through and those bother my acid reflux, paper filters for these are readily available at any grocery store very cheap tho. Looks gorgeous on my counter, and arrived intact with the cork ball, thanks to the seller for a nice deal! From someone who's never had a different type of coffee maker, I definitely recommend to give this brew technique a try, especially if you're only serving one or two people. Surprised how well it worked for loose leaf green tea, don't be afraid to experiment with it!

I have looked for plastic free coffee machine in the market for a long time. After did the research and using K cup and Nesspresso for more than 10 years, all those plastic chemical that accumulates in my body, I decided to give this one a try. This pour unit gives me budget friendly for the good value for my money, compared to $1k machine. Since I am the only one drinking cofee in my family, this unit is perfect. The taste of coffee depending on quality of beans you buy, my coffee come out the way I like with only 2-3 min brew time for 20 oz of hot coffee that I put in to go mug right away. Very convenient and save lots of space in my small kitchen. Short brew time and very durable! I use coffee filter on top of a stainless steel filter. So it is very easy to clean. I love this so much! Helpful: use the cofee filter size #2 if you want easy cleaning.

I love my pour over coffee maker but the screen you need to be very careful with. It has a seam in the inside stateless steel screen that you should be very careful when washing because it can come loose when washing. I've had it less than a month and because of this inside lining coming loose or separating I should say some coffee grounds have got stuck between the stainless steel and the liner. So I called and asked for a replacement screen but I have to get a whole new unit. So if you purchase this, please be cautious when washing... I love the design of the base and it makes my mushroom coffee taste so much better... As far as the cork ball is concerned, you only need to use it when you have more than two cups of coffee made that keeps it from spilling out the sides. But I only make one cup a day for myself which comes out to 12 oz for my mushroom coffee so I do not need to use the corkball

A simple pour over system for making great coffee. I found that the leather center accessory is not needed as I can pour the contents out soon after brewing without the carafe portion being too hot. Also, without the center portion, cleanup is easier. I also pulled off the rubber attachement that slips over the filter tab. It was occasionally falling off in the sink and I found there is no real need for it. All-in-all, this unit works for me in my morning coffee making!

This little pour over coffee pot is the best! Not only is it cute, but it makes a great cup of coffee. The coffee strainer is double wall metal, I can even use fine ground coffee in it. I just wish I had bought the bigger one.

Using it for a few months in several RV trips. It solves my coffee needs when boondocking. I had tried a few other options but this one works best. Use an additional no. 2 coffee paper filter for easy clean-up and it also slows down the dripping for better coffee as well. Pull out the paper filter and discard the coffee grounds. No mess. The glass is not too thin and the product is of good quality in general.

What a difference in the flavor, whenever I switch to this my husband always asks what coffee this is and that it's so good. I mix it up between using this and my machine.
