Great product, setup up and working after 20mins. App setup and Alexa working fine. All wires were in place including neutral.

Too big for a normal surface mount box. Fits a dry wall box with wires coming from back.Works well and looks well. For IOS it doesn’t use Apple home, you need to use Smart Life application. Easy to setup Siri Shortcuts.

Works perfectly and easy to install. The actual mechanical switch feels a bit plasticky but in theory it won’t be used that often as I have fitted it to control an outside front door light which brings me to my major bonus point. The supporting app is Tuya smart which in my view is the best and most flexible smart app available. With a previous so called smart switch I was limited to basically switching it on and off at set times, with Tuya I have been able to set up the light to come on 10 mins after sunset and off at a predetermined time. Perfect !! and there are loads of other settings and scenarios available which would accommodate virtually any given requirement. My only major gripe about the switch is a design error. All of these smart switches are quite deep anyway. This one is about 32mm to begin with but the the wiring connector has the wire coming out the back and the tightening screw at the bottom meaning you add another 5mm at least. It could easily have been designed the other way around. I bought a spacer which resolved the issue but doesn’t look as neat and flush as I would have preferred.

Arrived late.Could not get to work even after many attempts and Electician advice.Sticks out too far for standard back box so would have needed something around it.Looks and feels cheep, so kind of glad it not work. And then best of all can not return!Cheers!

First thing you see out of the box is just how incredibly deep this switch is. Even if you are swapping out for a very deep dimmer switch you are unlikely to have a deep enough back box for this baby (at least 50mm) so that's negative surprise number one. Now the next problem is probably shared by all smart switches but it hadn't occurred to me since this was the first (and definitely last) one I have bought. In order to work at all the switch must have a connection to the neutral wire on your lighting circuit. The problem is in UK (and probably most places I would imagine) light switches are most commonly wired up with twin and earth cable. Both of these are live, the common from the circuit and the switched live to the light itself. There is no neutral! The only solutions are to run an additional neutral wire to the switch or replace your existing twin and earth cable with a new 3-core and earth cable. The third problem is just a a bit of a software issue. The instructions tell you to download the Smarthome app. This worked fine on its own but the Alexa skill for this app would not accept my login credentials. However I noticed that Tuya was mentioned somewhere and I already had the Tuyasmart app successfully linked with Alexa for some smart plugs. I added this switch to the Tuyasmart app instead and then it was finally available to Alexa. Although the switch works well now it is finally installed I definitely would not have bothered with it at all if I had known what a pain it would be to install. If you really need a smart switch I guess you've got no choice but if you just want it to control your lights then simply get smart bulbs instead - they are way less faff. I have only written this review to try and help others not have to go through all the hassle I did.

Nearly didn't buy this because a previous review said it didn't work with LED bulbs. It did for me switching 10 GU10 LEDs in the kitchen and a small fluorescent outside.The main issue is the depth. I needed to chop a 25mn deep box further into the wall to give me room for connections.

Did exactly what I need and very easy to install and use

Ordered two. One was good quality and the other rubbish they are completely different products.

Ik heb dit product aangeschaft om zowel de tuinverlichting als een serie geschakelde stopcontacten met Google Home te kunnen bedienen. Het materiaal voelt wat goedkoop aan, maar de werking is er niet minder om. In vrijwel iedere review wordt er gesproken over de “enorme” inbouw-diepte van de schakelaar, maar in de praktijk blijkt dat voor de Nederlandse wandcontactdozen geen issue te zijn. Waarschijnlijk zijn ze in het buitenland minder diep, waardoor het een uitdaging vormt. Ik heb eerst een proefopstelling gemaakt om de werking te controleren (zie foto) en het daarna met de juiste bedrading en lasklemmen netjes ingebouwd. Of het product degelijk is zal nog moeten blijken, maar ik ben tot dusver meer dan tevreden.
